Xerophytes
Xerophytes are plants that grow in arid/dry conditions where water is scarce. ‘Xeros’ means dry,
‘phyton’ means plant in Greek. These plants thrive in desert-like conditions. Examples include:
succulent plants (e.g. cactus) and aloe vera.
