VPN Client_5.0_L_EN_xx package un‐installation re‐installation
To perform this manual you need to have local administrator access to the device were you want to
un‐install the VPN package
1. Go to C:\windows\ccmcache
2. Search for “vpn” and select with the right mouse button the option “open file location” on the
VPN Client_5.0_L_EN_02.doc
If you do not find the files you have to request the VPN package through the software self‐service
portal.
3. In the folder you will find the “uninstall.cmd” file which has to be executed with administrator
rights
Important; Perform the restart of the device at the end of the un‐installation as requested.
4. After the reboot clean up all the left over from previous installations.
Delete “cwizard” folder at “C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming"
Delete “CheckPoint” folder at “C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Roaming"
Delete “Schneider_&_Partner_Infor” folder at “C:\Users\%username%\AppData\local"
Delete “CWizard” folder at “C:\Program Files” (windows 7)
Delete “CWizard” folder at “C:\Program Files (86)” (windows 10)
Delete “CheckPoint” folder at “C:\Program Files” (windows 7)
Delete “CheckPoint” folder at “C:\Program Files (86)” (windows 10)
5. Now go back to the folder were you had performed the un‐installation before (point 1 and 2) and
start there the installation of the VPN package by executing the “install.cmd” with administrator
rights.
Restart the client after the installation.
6. After the successful installation of the VPN client you have to perform a topology update over the
check for topology option in the Cwizard.
If the topology update runs without an error message VPN should be then running normally.
