English Autobiography
Your Assignment:
Write a minimum one page, single-spaced, written response in 5-paragraph
format. (If you choose to type this, please use the following: Times New Roman Font,
Double-Spacing, 12 point font).
**You may use this handout as a planning sheet, but it is not a requirement to
have the questions filled out. I will be grading the final product only.**
In your introduction paragraph, you should answer the following questions:
1) What are some interesting facts about you?
2) What are your hobbies and interests?
3) What are your thoughts about starting this school year at Foundation Prep
Academy? Are you excited? Do you have any concerns?
In your first body paragraph, you should answer the following questions:
1) How do you feel about your past English/Language Arts classes? Is this
feeling positive or negative? Explain.
2) What are your strengths in English? Be specific.
3) What are your weaknesses in English? Be Specific.
In your second body paragraph, you should answer the following questions:
1) What is something one of your past English teachers did that you liked?
Explain in detail.
2) What is something one of your past English teachers did that you did not
like? Explain in detail.
3) What types of activities work for you in an English class? (Group work?
Notes? Lecture? Silent Reading? Individual Work? Technology? Short Stories?
Writing Activities? Etc.)
In your third body paragraph, you should answer the following question:
1) What goals do you have for yourself freshman year?
In your conclusion paragraph, you should answer the following questions:
1) What advice do you have for me as your teacher this year? Discuss what I
need to do to help you learn and reach your potential.
