• Automation has developed big benefits
• Manual Flying skills are still very important
• Continuous attention is needed in all phases of the pilot training to
develop these competencies
• Type training must balance all aspects: CRM, automation, manual
flying….
• A350 training will reflect the latest thinking on this balance
