C. Course Synopsis
Accounting II course is revisits topics covered in Introductory Accounting I. The course also
covers revenue and expense recognition issues, and generally accepted accounting principles
that affect the format and presentation of the financial statements. Whilst a large proportion
of the course is aimed at understanding accounting as a process, taking a preparers’
perspective. This course views the accounting function as an essential and powerful activity
in the business environment.
D. Course Objectives
At the end of this course, the students will be able to:



Explain fundamental accounting concepts, and basic accounting vocabulary
Explain the use of accounting information
Explain and use the accounting equation in basic financial analysis and explain how
the equation is related to the financial statements

Prepare basic entries for business transactions and present the data in an accurate and
meaningful manner
