How with the TIA Portal do you transfer your project to your operator panel via a
storage medium (USB stick, for example)?

With TIA Portal V14 and higher, in addition to the previous transfer options (Ethernet, for example), you can download your project directly to
a storage medium (USB stick, SD card). Here the data can be handled via the Windows Explorer so that you can also send it by e-mail, for
example.

Download project to storage medium
1. Connect your storage medium (USB stick, for example) to your Engineering PC.
2. In the project navigation in the TIA Portal you open the folder "Card Reader/USB Memory > Removable devices".
Via the "Add user-defined Card Reader button" you can select a storage path (a folder enabled on the Runtime PC, for example) as target directory.

4. Choose whether you want the user data and recipe data overwritten on the operator panel and whether this setting is to be locked on the operator
panel. Click the "Load" button.

Note: Click the operator panel in the "Devices & Networks" editor. Under PROFINET Interface > Ethernet addresses you select whether the IP
address and the PROFINET device name from the project or from the device are to be used. You cannot change this setting.
A "Simatic.HMI" folder is created on the storage medium. The data is stored in this folder.

Transfer the project to Comfort / Mobile Panel
1. Connect the storage medium to the operator panel.
2. Open the Control Panel of the operator panel via "Settings".

7. As required you set whether the user data and recipe data is to be overwritten and whether the operator panel image is to be transferred.
Start the download via "Load".

3. Open the WinCC Runtime Loader via "Start > All Programs > Siemens Automation > Runtime Systems > WinCC Runtime Advanced > WinCC

Click the "Settings" button.
