Text: Biology: Principles and Explorations: Holt, Rinehart and Winston
Description:
Biology I Honors follows a program that provides for the full development of science
skills that are inherent in Biology. It covers material ranging from molecular, cellular,
and genetic sciences, to the theories of evolution, to the various Kingdoms, and the
interactions of the biological and ecological systems within the biosphere of the Earth.

3-Ring Binder and Loose Leaf Paper or a Spiral Notebook, College Rule
Blue or Black Ink Pens ONLY
No. 2 Pencils and/or Soft Lead Mechanical Pencil
Set of 24 Colored Pencils
Notebook for Lab (this notebook will only be used for lab activities)

Regular Assignments:
Each Chapter is divided into various sections. There is a Section Review following each
Section. All of the questions for each Section Review must be completed. The specific
dates will be posted when assignment is given. Vocabulary will be addressed through the
use of a crossword puzzle or other similar worksheets. Other class work will be assigned
as needed. Due dates will be placed on the board on a regular basis. All assignments can
be found on online at the schools website www.southaikenhigh.com. Test and Quizzes
may be given online or in the classroom.
