


Level 3: Service


Where is Happiness found?

St. Thomas Aquinas (13th century) asked where happiness is found

Within every human need is a desire that drives us to meet that need and we are satisfied when
we attain it

Sometimes we search for satisfaction in the wrong thing

The need or desire in and of itself is not evil however we may go about the wrong way
of achieving it
Our natural desire for God

St. Thomas Aquinas stated that every desire within us is truly a desire for God

The desire for God is written on the human heart- created by and for God

“You have made us for yourself oh Lord, and our hearts are restless until it rests in you” – St.
