Tables Accessed and Update Report
This report can be used to analyze four types of Peoplesoft Applications namely:

Application Name field is used to enter part of the name of the application/s, for example,
if you want to search for AE application related to Expenses, you can either enter complete name or just
do it with EX. In case of partial names, report will analyze all the application starting with EX.
For example, when you select AE, and enter ‘AP_W’ in the application name field, the report will
the report will analyze AP_WTHDCALC, AP_WTHD, AP_WTHDRPT, AP_WTHDTEST and AP_WTHD_UPDT.

To refine this, you can use the Refresh Available Applications button, select the appropriate AE and
add it to the Selected Applications list.
Note: A small number of applications are not associated with normal run control pages (for
example, one-time conversion routines or system setup utilities used during installation) and the system
will not display them in the Available Applications list. You can enter these applications in the Selected
Applications list using the insert button and entering the application's name.
Include PeopleTools Tables check box is used to include all the PeopleTools Record in the
analysis. PeopleTools tables define all PeopleSoft objects and manage system behavior, and include this
such as related language control, currency conversions, and Process Scheduler activity.
 Location of Source Code is only available when you select to analyze a COBOL program. It
is used to enter the path to the COBOL source code's location on the server.
 Location of Tools programs only appears when you select to analyze SQR reports. If you
are analyzing SQR programs and are excluding PeopleTools tables, enter the path to the PeopleTools
SQR components' location on the server.

Example: Analysis fir EX_TRAN_PRCS AE process
Select Application Type as AppEngine Programs, enter EX% and click Refresh Available Applications to
search for all AE programs starting with EX.

To refine these results, select the Application/s to be analyzed and click on Add Button which will add
them to the Selected Application list as shown in Illustration 5.

Once the Application is selected and added to the list, the report can be run.

Output can be located using View Log/Trace link under Process Details.

Output file contains three columns where the information is segregated based on Table Name,
Access Modes and Modules using that table. Access modes illustrate how a particular record was
used in the execution i.e., Select, Insert, Update or Delete.
