2. FIELD ARRIVAL CHECKLIST
☐ Check flying conditions: Note Wind Conditions (adjust flight plan as needed)
☐ Check surrounding for bystanders and obstacles/potential hazards
☐ Establish launch/home location: 5 meters away and upwind of crew
3. AIRCRAFT PRE-FLIGHT CHECKLIST
☐ Inspect Drone for any damage or defects (cracks, loose screws, chipped props, etc.)
☐ Drone - place on flat dry surface
☐ Gimbal Clamp (Removed; Stowed)
☐ Micro SD Card (Installed; Available Space)
☐ Battery (Installed; Status Check Fully Charged)
☐ Propellers (Check Condition; Spin-On and double check)
4. CONTROLLER PRE-FLIGHT CHECKLIST
☐ Antennas (Positioned)
☐ Flight Mode Switch (P for DGI Go app)
☐ Radio Battery (Status Check Fully Charged)
☐ Open either DJI Go App or Drone Deploy on IPad or Phone
☐ Check Camera View, Aircraft Status, Flight Height, Compass Calibration, and any Warnings
5. AUTONOMOUS MISSION CHECKLIST
☐ Power on Controller
☐ Power on Drone
☐ Connect via WIFI to Phantom 3 drone
☐ DJI Go App Flight Status (Check Safe To Fly – GPS, Safe To Fly - VPS)
☐ Start Motors (Both Control Sticks To Lower - Inner Position)
☐ Take Off (Auto, Manual)
☐ Low Hover (Check Hover Stability)
☐ Flight Controls (Move Each Stick Check Proper Stability & Control)
☐ Land Drone
☐ Disarm motors by moving left stick straight down for 3 seconds
☐ Close DJI Go App
☐ Open DroneDeploy
DRONE DEPLOY TAKEOFF CHECKLIST
☐ Begin to Log Flight - paper or app
☐ Check Drone Connection on App
☐ Switch flight mode to “F” on controller
☐ Go Through Drone Takeoff Sequence (app specific)
☐ Press Take Off Icon
6. POST FLIGHT CHECKLIST
☐ Power down Quad; Power down Radio
☐ Remove propellers
☐ Put on Gimbal Clamp
☐ Remove battery
☐ Power down iPhone/iPad
☐ Review site for all equipment items - Pack and Secure all items
7. BACK INSIDE
☐ Remove SD card
☐ Finish Logging Flight
☐ Note any incident or accidents and debrief
