A. Bus duct products shall be packed with wooden boxes suitable for export transportation and
easy to handle at site. The bus duct in wooden boxes shall be enveloped with poly-vinyl
sheet for waterproof prior to finish whole packing.
B. Bus duct products shall be handled carefully to prevent from damage and stored in dry clean
place away from abnormal weather, dirt and water etc.
1.2
STANDARDS
A. All bus duct shall be manufactured in Quality Systems which is registered by Underwriters
Laboratories to ISO 9000:2000.
B. All bus duct fittings and plug in units shall conform to the following codes and standards.
1.
International Electrical Association (IEC):
IEC60439-1, 2 “Low-voltage switchgear and controller assemblies”

D. The temperature rise at any point in the busway shall not exceed 55° C rise above ambient
temperature when operating at rated load current.
2.2.3 INSULATION
A. Entire length of all bus bars inside enclosure shall be insulated except at joint.
B. Each bus bar shall be insulated with Class B(130℃) degree by multi layers of Polyester film
or epoxy insulation.
2.2.4 HOUSING
A. The bus duct housing shall be totally enclosed non-ventilated type for protection against
mechanical damage and dust accumulation.
B. Each of the bus duct housing shall be constructed and joined completely electrical and
mechanical.
C. The busway housing shall be of extruded aluminum painted with polyester epoxy powder
paint to provide protection against corrosion.
D. Polyester epoxy powder paint shall be applied to by an automated electrostatic process.
E. Paint Color : _________
2.2.5 JOINT
A. The bus duct joint shall be of one bolt type joint with positive torque which utilizes a high
strength steel bolt and disc spring to maintain proper pressure over a large contact surface
area.
B. The blot shall be two-headed design to indicate when proper torque has been applied and
require only a standard long handle wrench to be properly activated.
C. It shall be possible to remove any joint connection assembly to allow electrical isolation or
physical removal of a busway length without disturbing adjacent busway lengths.
D. Access shall be required to only one side of the busway for tightening joint bolts.
E. Each joint kit shall allow approx.10mm adjustment in section length.

INSPECTION AND TESTING
3.1. TEMPERATURE RISE
The bus duct shall be conform to the temperature rise limit when carrying full rated current in its
poorest position as set forth in NEMA BU1, UL857. No part shall exceed a 55℃ temperature rise
base on average ambient temperature.

Short circuit rating of bus duct shall be determined according to UL857 and the bus duct shall
withstand the electrical, mechanical and thermal stress under fault condition. (Appendix #1)
3.3. VOLTAGE DROP
A. The voltage drop (input voltage minus output voltage) specified shall be based on the bus
duct operating at full rated current and at stabilized operating temperature at 25℃ ambient.
B. The three-phase, line-to-line voltage drop does not exceed 13 volts per one hundred meter at
70% power factor concentrated load, which may exist during motor.
3.4. INSULATION RESISTANCE TEST
The insulation resistance between conductors and conductor to metallic housing shall be measured
with D.C 500volt insulation resistance tester.
All measured values should be over 20 ㏁ at room temperature.
3.5. TEST OF DIELECTRIC PROPERTIES
The bus duct shall be capable of withstanding for one minute, without breakdown, the application of
AC 3000V, 50Hz potential between conductors and the enclosures.
