ENHANCEMENT FOR A320/A330/A340
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of this OIT is to inform all Operators of A320, A330, and A340 families that:

AIRBUS received the Operational Suitability Letter (OSL) of the eQRH from the European
Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

AIRBUS started the eQRH deliveries in April 2017

AIRBUS will stop the printing and the delivery of the paper QRH end of 2017

A demo version of the eQRH application for iPad is available on the App Store

A demo version of the eQRH application for Windows devices is available in AirbusWorld
(Content library/Flight Operations/Miscellaneous)
2. BACKGROUND
The AIRBUS eQRH application is an interactive and smart application designed to replace the paper
QRH in the cockpit.
3. DESCRIPTION
In accordance with customers’ needs to move to electronic Flight Operations, AIRBUS has developed a new fully paperless operational concept for the A320, A330, and A340 families. This new operational concept is based on the use of an electronic QRH instead of the paper QRH, in combination with electronic documentation and EFB performance applications. The EASA and FAA approved this new operational concept and provided AIRBUS with the Operational Suitability Letter (OSL) of the eQRH in
February 2017.
The A380 & A350 have already implemented operations based on electronic means via the ECAM.
Therefore the first version of the eQRH application is not applicable to these aircraft programmes.
The digital QRH format (XML) becomes the standard format for this document and can be managed using ADOC and FODM tools. AIRBUS will stop the QRH printing and paper delivery at the end of 2017

OPERATORS INFORMATION TRANSMISSION - OIT for A320, A330, and A340 families. AIRBUS will continue to provide the QRH data in a PDF/PPFO format for Operators that are in transition from paper-based operations to electronic operations.
A demo version of the eQRH on iPad is available on the App Store (named “Airbus eQRH demo”). In addition, a demo version of the eQRH on windows is available in AirbusWorld (Content library/Flight
Operations/Miscellaneous). These demo versions include a sample of QRH data for Operators to become familiar with the eQRH functions and display.
Data enclosed in the demo application is provided for demonstration purposes only and shall not be used for Aircraft operations.
4. DELIVERY
All AIRBUS customers will receive the XML format as the standard referential format for the QRH as part of their Digital Flight Ops Package. The XML file will be available for download via the AIRBUS World platform. PDF/PPFO format will continue to be provided to Operators that are in transition from paperbased operations to electronic operations.
5. PURCHASING
The eQRH application is included in the FlySmart with Airbus “Full Package” (refer to Airbus eCatalogue for more details on the corresponding contractual offer).
The eQRH is also available in an “eQRH package” for:

FlySmart with Airbus customers with Documentation and/or Performance packages

Non-FlySmart with Airbus customers.
The Airbus eCatalogue has been updated since the beginning of April to include detailed information on the eQRH offers. Please contact sales@navblue.aero

6. ROADMAP

The eQRH standalone on Windows: from March 27th, 2017

The eQRH integrated to FlySmart on Windows: will be delivered with the FlySmart on Windows,
L6.1.4 version, from April 2017

The eQRH standalone on iPad and the eQRH integrated to FlySmart on iPad: will be delivered with the FlySmart on iPad, V3.2.2 version, from May 2017.

As part of an Operational Documentation Enhancement for A320/A330/A340, a major update of the QRH content has been performed in order to adapt it to an electronic display. The documentation revision deliveries have been performed at the end of March 2017. For more details, refer to the FOT “Operational Documentation enhancement for A320/A330/A340”, reference 0999.0030/17 Rev 00 dated 16-MAR-2017.

As the digital QRH format (XML) will become the standard format for this document, AIRBUS will stop QRH printing and paper delivery at the end of 2017. Nevertheless, AIRBUS will continue to provide the QRH data in a PDF/PPFO format for Operators that are in transition from paperbased operations to electronic operations.

