As we can see in our environment(picture: Msu), all things seemed to be connected and have
interactions with each other. We can observe that non-living things (abiotic)and living things(biotic)
creates a relationship that may benefit each other. The biotic factors( Plants, Humans, and animals)need
the abiotic factors (air, water, sun and soil) to live.
Sun gives energy to all living and non-living things.
The heat from the sun makes the water in liquid form thus having water cycle became possible.
When the sunlight reaches the soil, together with the water and other factors like oxygen and
carbon in air, it makes the vegetation occur.
Vegetation regulates the flow of numerous biogeochemical cycles, most critically those of water,
carbon, and nitrogen; it is also of great importance in local and global energy balances.
Plants which we can also refer to as producers, are the first one that can benefit the energy
from abiotic factors. They created their own food from the sunlight, water and carbon dioxide
through a process called photosynthesis.
Animals like grasshoppers and other insects that eats directly from the plants get the energy
from the plants making them a primary consumer. Then, they serve as the food for other larger
animals like snakes, birds and humans. Humans can also get the energy directly from the plants
and animals.
Humans, animals and plants have interactions with each other. Humans and animals give the
Carbon dioxide that is needed for the plants to make their own food. In return, plants have their
by product, oxygen, and other things that humans and animals need like shelter that make these
two alive.
Air is mostly the medium that changing things occur. We have the water cycle, the exchange of
carbon dioxide and oxygen, and many more.
