seal!ng wax, a S'old breast pin (piece of brown quartz

the quartz). The watch has been recovered by Det.
S: ~ondon and traced to the possession of a man
gl~ng the n~me of W . Wilson. Description: medium
bUlld, 5ft. ~lll., age 25 to 30 years, long thin visage,
large promment hazel eyes, sandy hair, and small
~andy ~oustache, two teeth missing left side upper
Jaw, not~ceable when he opens his mouth, teeth very
much discoloured, dressed in dark coat and vest
dark striped trousers, slate coloured soft felt hat'
identical with a Sydney criminal named Edward

dark eyes, dark tanned complexion, very white teeth,
cut across knee, cut 011 three of toes on right foot,
nose has been broken, timber cutter on mine. Last
heard of at Southern Cross, on 27th May, 1896.

HENRY STEPHENS, age about 60 years, a Victorian,
supposed to be a miner, left Ballarat, supposed for
Geraldton, in company with a man named Palmer in
