Classification of areas according to the

94/9/EC directive concerning ATEX

Equipment is aimed at protecting equipment and areas where liquids, gases and/or explosive dust are to be found. That is the way to reduce risks and increase protection in a profitable and reasonable way.

The most common environments where

Ex ATEX enclosures are required are the following: places with flammable vapors and gases, areas where hazardous liquids are transferred, installations for painting cabins, warehouses with solvent substances, and also those places with the possible presence of combustible dust such as grain stores, mills, etc.

Thus, the objective is to ensure that devices and equipment manufactured under these rules meet the safety requirements by eliminating ignition sources and minimizing the consequences of possible explosions.

This combination by Delvalle is manufactured to the customers own specifications to be used in areas with flammable gases and powders. It´s placing and atmosphere application determine the type of protection for increased security or wrap around security.

The wrap around is available in stainless steel AISI304L and

AISI316L. The cabinet itself can be chosen (according to size) from our geoex, luxorex and tribex series. Cabinets with doors or screwdown lids.

Delvalle recommends pressurization of enclosures which cannot be protected by any other means, either because they are too large (which prevents them from being flameproof) or because they require too high a power to benefit from the enclosure’s intrinsic safety.

This new range of enclosures more than meets the strictest tests that we could put them to: impact, over-pressure, corrosion, thermic impact, temperature rises, resistance to UV light, resistance to cold, heat and humidity.

We manufacture this pressurized enclosures to American standards.

Acrab series lighting fixtures have a body with fins designed in order to obtain maximum heat dissipation, maintaining a low temperature class (T5 - T100°C). In fact, it acts as a heat sink for the LED plate not permitting the accumulation of dust but allowing self-cleaning in case of rain or air movement.

EWL lighting fixture has a light beam opening of 120°. Thanks to the “Ex de” protection method, the electrical connection can be made with an increased safety connection box with terminals. Furud lighting fixtures have been designed to offer a Low Bay lighting fixture that could replace incandescent equivalents with lower costs. They are suitable for the illumination of areas in which it’s necessary to limit the obstruction such as tunnels, passages, corridors, stairways and command and control cabins. They can also be used to illuminate and monitor hazardous materials contained inside tanks and cisterns thanks to a bracket for coupling with the porthole flange. The model with the side entry meets specific installation needs, reducing the overall dimensions.

The Polar series is designed with a round cross section that provides a better “Cx” coefficient with less resistance to the wind and less accumulation of dust. For this reason, these units are recommended for use in hazardous places where climatic and environmental conditions are severe and as they require less maintenance thanks to a very high ageing index. As the electrical components are housed on a frame with guides, re-lamping is quick and efficient. The fact that the fixture is fitted with a glass tube as opposed to a plastic one, makes it more effective and with a longer lifespan.

The enclosures of LED explosion-proof floodlight fittings are manufactured of die-cast aluminum alloy, with epoxy resin powder sprayed on the surfaces. Therefore, they have good anti-corrosion performance. The transparent shield is made by the toughened glass borosilicate, and the exposed fasteners are made of stainless steel. Explosionproof light fitting´s terminal box bottoom entry, is suitable for rubber-coated and the armored cable wiring. The internationally certified PHOENIX cage type terminals are selected as the internal terminals, which are convenient for wiring. Cree LEED pellet inside form light source modules through professional optics distribution. Heat disposal which is designed with thermology analysis and the heat-conducting structure os specially made aluminium base board ensure good operational heat release.
