Announcement of Skills Test under the EPS The 4th Skills Test in the Philippines under EPS is to be conducted for those who have passed the EPS-TOPIK. Passer of EPS-TOPIK who wishes to take the Skills Test shall apply for the test as follows. 21 June 2016 Supervised by the Ministry of Employment and Labor of Republic of Korea Administrated by HRD Korea Cooperated by Department Of Labor and Employment of the Philippines (DOLE) and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) All applicants who passed the 13th EPS-TOPIK (via PBT and CBT) are highly invited to participate (except those who have their EPIs and Contracts signed) in the 4th Skills Test! Ang lahat ng mga aplikante na nakapasa sa 13th EPSTOPIK (via PBT at CBT) ay lubos naming inaanyayahang sumali (maliban lamang sa mga mayroon ng EPI at mga pumirma na ng Kontrata) sa 4th Skills Test! 1. (Allowed) Industry for applying the test : Manufacturing A. All applicants of the Skills Test can only choose one occupations of industry passed by EPS-TOPIK. 2. Test period (the date is subject to change) : 21(Thu) ~ 24(Sun) July, 2016 D. Test Place(the place is subject to change): Manila, Cebu *We will announce the designated Test Date and Venue for each applicant* 5. Announcement of Test Result A. Date : 9 August 2016 (Tue) - Connect to the EPS Website, country service - Sign up/Log in - Check the test result individually 6. Special Benefit for High Scorer and attendee High scorers* will be PRIORITIZED in terms of primary job recommendation to Korean employers. Attendees for the Skills Test will have priority in terms of secondary job recommendation to Korea employers. (However, the priority related to job recommendation will not be given to Poor scorers**.) * High scorers: more than 200 points in total score ** Poor scorers: less than 100 points in total score. EPS-TOPIK Passers will still have a chance for employment in Korea but will not be recommended unlike those who participated in Skills Test 7. Method and details of the test A. Contents of the Skills Test - The Skills Test is comprised of three areas including physical test, Evaluating job experience & interview and Basic Skills test. B. Task of the Interview Assessment Test items Details Self–introduction Preparedness, contents and attitude, etc. Basic communication Understanding orders Basic Communication Skills in Korean Understanding basic instructions in Korean Remarks The interview will be filmed (For 1 minute) Answering the name of equipment Answering the name of two (2) kinds of equipment Competency Speaking in Korean Job basic ability Interview test based on the National Competency Standards and provided to Korean employers. 10. Task of the Basic skill test : Manufacturing Procedure Test items Test 1 Insert Pins Put the different sticks on the board (various color, shape, size sticks). Test 2 Hang Items Hang the rings on the rod according to size. Test 3 Details Assemble bolt and nut Using appropriate tools, tight the provided bolts and nuts to the designated located carefully. Join Bind and stick the plywood to the indicated joint position accurately by using designated tools and parts dismantle. Measures Measure (weigh) the given substances to the desired size (volume) designated by the instructor. * Test 1, Test 2 are MANDATORY, Test 3 is optional 11. Instructions for Applicants Please download Skills Test instructions in POEA website. Instructions include with questions in Skills Test, study and practice them to get a higher score in Skills Test. A. Test date and venue for each applicant will be announced on 8 July, 2016 (Fri) and please refer to the announcement on the date. B. You cannot change the designated test date and venue and no one is allowed to enter the venue after the designated entry time. No admittance (NO ENTRY) to anyone arrives after the designated entry time. C. No admittance to anyone who did not bring their Passport and EPS-TOPIK Admission Ticket. (However, if the applicant can’t bring his EPS-TOPIK Admission Ticket, he will still be allowed to take the Skills Test as long as the Passport is with him/her. It is recommended to bring both to reduce the searching time) D. We recommend you to pay special attention to your safety during the test. You are entirely responsible for any accidents caused by your negligence. (Manufacturing is not dangerous. It’s just for your safety.) E. The tools and equipment for the test will be prepared at the venue, so it is not required for applicant to bring any tools or equipment (except for Passport and an Admission ticket). F. It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes that cause no inconvenience in the Skills Test G. You will get zero point in case of cheating during the test. (So please be careful) H. Please check the contents of the Task Instructions, announced with this, and prepare to get good result from the test. I. All the passers of EPS-TOPIK can apply for a job regardless of their Skills Test result, and the video, filmed during the test, will be provided to Korean employers as a reference only.
