1. In Malaysia, Sime Darby Industrial Sdn. Bhd. operates both the Tractors Malaysia Caterpillar dealership
and the Allied Brands Group, which distributes premium brands including Case New Holland and Kubota
Agricultural Tractors, Terberg Terminal Tractors, Jacobsen Turfcare Equipment, GE PII Pipeline Solutions,
Perkin Generator Sets, Omega Empty Container Handler, SEM Tractors and SITECH construction technology
provider.
2. Tractors Malaysia’s Caterpillar dealership covers the geographical coverage of Malaysia and Brunei.
3. Sime Darby’s association with Caterpillar first began 1929, when it acquired the Sarawak Trading Company
which owned the Caterpillar franchise for Sarawak.
4. Sime Darby Industrial Sdn. Bhd. is the exclusive distributor of Cat® products and services in Malaysia and
Brunei, with 23 branches, six depots and seven Cat Rental Stores. Sime Darby Industrial Sdn. Bhd. has total
staff strength of over 1,600.
5. Sime Darby Industrial Sdn. Bhd. offers wide range of heavy equipment and services for the construction,
mining, quarrying and forestry sectors, as well as for power generation, marine and agricultural industries.
6. It operates a RUN business model where customers can Rent machines, purchase Used equipment or buy
New machines.

CAT DEALER OPERATIONS
Cat® New Equipment & Engines
1. Tractors Malaysia offers a comprehensive range of Cat heavy equipment products and engines ranging from
earth-moving and forestry equipment to road and building construction and paving that are paired with
products support services.
2. Tractors Material Handling Sdn. Bhd. distributes an extensive range of high quality Cat lift trucks and is the
centre for sales, rental, safety training, parts and service support for Cat Telehandler.
3. For the oil & gas industry, Tractors Malaysia operates through its wholly owned subsidiary Tractors
Petroleum Services Sdn. Bhd. offering power solution for both up-stream and down-stream activities
including medium speed, high-tension and heavy fuel burning engine applications.
4. In electric power generation, Tractors Malaysia’s Power Systems division is the Cat engines specialist for
packaged generator sets, industrial fire pumps and uninterruptible power supply system applications.
5. In marine power, Tractors Malaysia is the Cat engines specialist for marine propulsion packages, marine
generator sets and auxiliary packages.
6. The power systems team is also equipped in the design, delivery, installation, commission and handover of
customised, high-end engines driven applications and power systems.
Parts & Service
1. Tractors Malaysia is dedicated in providing the best service through their Product Support Specialists and
technical experts, equipped with tools and facilities coupled with its extensive branch network to provide
customers with fast product support solutions.
2. Tractors Malaysia is connected to an on-line ‘live’ Parts Inventory System that is linked to the Caterpillar
Distribution Network.
Cat® Financial
1. Caterpillar Financial Services Malaysia (CFSM) provides financing options that are flexible and customised to
meet the specific needs of its customers.
Rental
1. Tractors Malaysia has seven Cat Rental Stores that provide one-stop rental solutions to customers across
Malaysia. Its stores are located in Butterworth, Puchong, Johor Bahru, Kuantan, Kuching, Bintulu and Kota
Kinabalu.
2. Customers are also supported by rental offices located at other branches under the Tractors Malaysia
dealership.
3. Tractors Malaysia’s Cat Rental Store also rents out equipment from its allied brands such as Terex, Genie,
Taylor-Dunn, Kemppi, Esab, Lincoln, Miller, Atlas Copco and Airman.
4. The rental of Cat engines for electric power generation, is managed by Tractors Malaysia’s Power Systems
division to provide total solution for customers with available power for rental.
5. Additionally, Tractors Material Handling Sdn. Bhd., provides its customers with the option of renting Cat lift
trucks.
Used Equipment
1. Tractors Malaysia carries a wide selection of ‘as is’ and reconditioned used equipment as well as wellmaintained rental roll-out Cat machines for sale.
2. Tractors Malaysia’s used equipment inventories are inspected and monitored by its team of highly trained
and experience service technicians.

Sime Kubota Sdn. Bhd.
1. Sime Kubota Sdn. Bhd. is a joint venture company between Sime Darby Tractors Enterprise Sdn. Bhd. with
Kubota Corporation and Marubeni Corporation of Japan.
2. In Malaysia, Sime Kubota is the exclusive distributor of Kubota agriculture tractors, machineries and
engines.
3. Sime Kubota Sdn. Bhd. operates through a network of 10 branches and three depot located at Puchong,
Juru, Kluang, Kuantan, Rompin, Teluk Intan, Kota Bharu, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Sibu, Bintulu
and Kuching.
Terberg Tractors Malaysia Sdn. Bhd.
1. Terberg Tractors Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is a joint venture between Terberg Benchop B.V of Holland and Sime
Darby Industrial Sdn. Bhd. that was set up in 2005 to market Terberg terminal tractors for ports in the Asia
Pacific.
2. In November 2005, Terberg Tractors Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. signed a Manufacturing Agreement with Sime Darby
TMA Sdn. Bhd. (SDTMA) appointing SDTMA as the manufacturer of Terberg vehicles for the region.
3. Terberg terminal tractors have been delivered to ports in Asia, such as the Jakarta International Container
Terminal in Indonesia, Asian Terminal Inc. in Philippines, PSA in Singapore, Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas in
Malaysia, Jawaharlal Nehru Port in India and South Asia Gateway Terminal in Sri Lanka.
Sime Darby TMA Sdn. Bhd.
1. Sime Darby TMA Sdn. Bhd. collaborates with principals to design, manufacture, assemble and distribute
heavy equipment and industrial products, primarily for the Asia Pacific region.
2. It has an Original Equipment Manufacturing Agreement with Terberg Tractors Malaysia to manufacture
Terberg terminal tractors for Asia Pacific ports.
3. Sime Darby TMA Sdn. Bhd. also design, manufacture and supply complete refuse compactor vehicles
inclusive of bin lift currently for Malaysian market.
4. It also has signed a supply agreement with Alexander Dennis Ltd for the manufacturing of bus chasis for Asia
Pacific region.
5. Sime Darby TMA Sdn. Bhd. is located in the prime industrial park of Pasir Gudang, Johor, with facilities that
accommodates a manufacturing facility capable of producing a wide range of industrial equipment.
6. Sime Darby TMA Sdn. Bhd. is also the local manufacturer for Omega Empty Container Handlers from Clark
Equipment, Australia.
Associated Equipment
1. The Associated Equipment Department looks after the needs of the agriculture, road maintenance and turf
care sectors.
2. It operates in Malaysia and Brunei through the nationwide network of 23 branches and four depots.
3. It has established partnerships and distribution rights for Case New Holland agriculture tractors, and
Jacobsen, Turfco, Smithco and Neary turfcare equipment.
Shandong Equipment Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (SEM)
1. Shandong Equipment Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (SEM) distributes SEM brand wheel loaders in Malaysia.
2. SEM is a brand of compact, small and mid-sized wheel loaders from China.
3. In markets outside of China, the products are sold exclusively through a Cat dealer principal owned SEM
channel that is separate from the Cat dealership with independent locations and identity.
4. By leveraging on Caterpillar product development processes and legacy technology, SEM provides quality
ready-to-run products offering initial affordability, high reliability, simplicity of use and maintenance.

3. It also distributes and markets generator sets and water pumps driven by Perkins engines for the local and
overseas markets.

1. Site Technology Asia Pacific Sdn. Bhd. (SITECH) is the exclusive dealer for Trimble heavy and highway
technology products in Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei.
2. The Trimble technology is recognised globally as the leader in accuracy and improving productivity through
machine solutions, positioning solutions and connected site solutions.
3. SITECH support customers with the broadest and most advanced set of tools for integrating measurement
data, machine operations and asset management through the construction life cycle for mixed fleets.
PROJECTS
New Low Cost Carrier Terminal Earth Work at KLIA 2
1. Tractors Malaysia provided the machines and technical
expertise to the new Low Cost Carrier Terminal earth work
at KLIA 2 where huge volumes of material (1.3 million cubic
metres) are required to be moved.
2. More than 100 units of various Cat® machines were utilised
in the duration of the earth work. These Cat machines were
336D & 320D Hydraulic Excavators,CS533E Vibratory Soil
Compactor, 527 Track Skidder, D6G Track Type Tractors, 950H
Wheel Loaders and 12H Motors Graders.

Storm Water Management and Road Tunnel (SMART)
Kuala Lumpur
1. The SMART project was designed to alleviate floods and
to release traffic congestion through the development of a
motorway tunnel at the main southern gateway leading to the
KL City centre.
2. Tractors Malaysia was involved in this prestigious project
through the supply of Cat standby diesel generator sets
to meet the emergency power needs for these critical
installations.

On 16 December, Tractors Malaysia moved into its
own premises in Puchong, Selangor, Malaysia. A
35-acre site named Tractors Engineering Complex
presently houses the corporate head office,
workshops, training centre and store yards.
Tractors Malaysia launched its Equipment Rental to
capitalise on equipment rental opportunities.
1998
Tractors Malaysia was delisted from Bursa Malaysia
Securities Berhad.
2008
In January, Tractors Malaysia was renamed as Sime Darby
Industrial Sdn. Bhd.
2012
Tractors Malaysia organised Construction &
Infrastructure Equipment Exhibition (CIEX) 2012,
the largest Cat products and services in Malaysia,
showcasing the latest Cat equipment, products, services
and technology at Tractors Engineering Complex,
Puchong, Selangor.
