Motor Support Mounting Bracket Universal Mounting Bracket Hex-head Tapping Screws (4) Figure 3: Screw Replacement for Motor Support Mounting Bracket Changeout Procedure Tools Required: Phillips-head screwdriver, No. 2 Hex-socket screwdriver (or nut driver), 5/16 inch socket size 1. Unpack the Y20BKT-1 Kit and select the parts required for replacement. Refer to Figure 1 as needed. 2. To gain access to the parts requiring replacement, remove the Gear Housing Bracket (Item C) by using a 5/16 inch nut driver to loosen the screw securing it to the universal mounting bracket. Slide the Gear Housing Bracket off, and if undamaged, retain it for reinstallation. 3. Mark the rack position (so that it can be reinstalled in exactly the same position). Slide the gear housing with attached rack and coupler assembly off of the actuator shaft, then lift the actuator up and out. (See Figure 2.) 4. To replace the Motor Support Mounting Bracket (Item B), use a 5/16 inch nut driver to loosen the four screws retaining it to the universal mounting bracket. Slide the damaged bracket up and off. Line up the four keyhole slots on the new bracket with the four screws and slide it firmly down into place. To replace the Motor Face Mounting Bracket (Item A), use a No. 2 Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the three screws that secure the bracket to the actuator. Pull off the damaged bracket and secure the new one in place, replacing damaged screws (Item E) as necessary. (See Figure 4.) 6. To reinstall the actuator, line up the tabs on the Motor Support Mounting Bracket (Item B) with the slots on the Motor Face Mounting Bracket and set the actuator completely in place. 7. Reattach the rack and coupler assembly by sliding the gear housing back onto the actuator shaft, taking care to reinstall the assembly exactly as it was originally positioned. (See Figure 4.) 8. Align the keyhole slot on the Gear Housing Bracket (Item C) with the slotted screw on the universal mounting bracket and slide it securely into place. 9. After reinstallation and wiring of the actuator are complete, make system settings and apply power. Observe at least three complete operating cycles as the actuator modulates on command from the controller. Refer to the controller documentation as needed. ! CAUTION: Equipment Damage Hazard.
