APPLICABILITY Applicable to establishments that provide processing or storage services of agricultural products to individually owned farm operations. For the purposes of this rate schedule, processing or storage service means that ownership of the product before, during, and immediately after processing or storage remains with the individually owned farm operations, and the processing or storage service provider is paid on a fee per unit basis. Individually owned farm operations that process or store their own product also qualify. Examples of types of operations that could qualify are cotton gins and vegetable or fruit storage facilities. More than fifty percent of the processing service provider’s business must meet these criteria in order to qualify. The customer will be responsible to the Company for any additional cost of installing and removing any equipment required to control, meter or deliver this service. ON PEAK SERVICE All hours not defined as Off-Peak Service shall be deemed On-Peak Service. Consumption during this period shall cause a surcharge of Twenty-Five percent (25%) of the total amount calculated on the rate schedule, including all adjustments, except for the Fuel Cost Recovery, and applicable taxes, to be added to the customer’s bill. OFF PEAK SERVICE Energy shall be used anytime during the billing months October through May, or weekends, holidays or from 8:00 PM to noon on weekdays during the billing months June through September. The observed holidays are national Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. DEFINITIONS Off-peak usage is defined as power requirements occurring at all hours during the billing months October through May, and Saturdays, Sundays, certain holidays, and between the hours of 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM daily during the billing months June through September. The holidays are National Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day. The day on which the holiday is observed shall count as an off-peak day. On-peak is defined as all power requirements not included in above. DETERMINATION OF DEMAND Demand for billing as modified by this rider shall be the greater of: • Sixty percent (60%) of the highest of the current or preceding eleven (11) months off-peak demand, or • The demand determination based on the on-peak demand as specified in the applicable rate. METERING An additional charge of $21.38 per month will be added to the bill to cover additional metering expense. Customers normally operating off-peak, as defined above, whose monthly power requirements normally are less than 100 kWh per kW may, at the Commission’s option, require no special metering. If a customer desires to substitute a special pole type for the regular wooden pole these are available at the following rates: • To substitute either a direct embedded fiberglass or concrete pole, add $5.74 per month to the normal “with pole” rental fee. • To substitute either a steel or fiberglass pole mounted on a concrete base add $11.45 per month to the normal “with pole” rental fee. 3. In the event the Commission is required to replace existing Commission-owned luminaire(s) with a different type luminaire(s), then the customer will be required to pay the Commission $25.00 for each luminaire changed. Also, if a customer requires the Commission to install luminaries at greater mounting height than that which is achievable on existing wood poles or relocate poles and equipment, then the customer will be required to pay the Commission a Contribution to Construction to cover changing the pole to a taller one, rearranging the equipment to accommodate the greater mounting height or relocating poles and equipment. 4. The placement of lights will be mutually determined by the Crisp County Power Commission and the customer. After installation, if the customer requests light(s) to be relocated, then the relocation will be at the customer’s expense. Page 17 As Of: January 1, 2016 5. Security lights existing as of February 1, 1983, will be billed according to the” W/O Pole” rates. 6. A service charge of $25.00 for new installations of security lights will be required of renters and/or mobile homeowners who rent their lots. 7. A $15.00 service charge will be required of any customer for connection of an existing security light.
