as well as to the patient. One of the central aims of Cortex is to locate and develop simpler solutions to different

The surface area of Cortex implants are treated by sandblasting with aluminum oxide and continuing with
thermal double-acid etching treatment; the superiority of these surface areas have been scientifically proven
and supported for many years. The special treatment of the surface area of Cortex implants provides them with
hybrid roughness increasing the surface area envelope of the implant and bone-to-implant contact x 4. Macroroughness of 20-40 microns in size, corresponding to that of osteoblasts (bone cells) and micro-roughness,
forming pits 1.5-2 microns in size, corresponding to that of fibrin filaments for better attachment to the surface
area of the implant.
Thanks to the special treatment, the surface areas have a hydrophyllic advantage and enable the rapid
absorption of proteins hastening the osseointegration process.
The outstanding advantages of the surface area of Cortex implants are:

Implant design
The great advantage of Cortex implants comes from their design.
1. Integration of conical and straight structures enabling lateral compression of bone around implant
increasing implant stability.
2. Changing thread design creates vertical compression around implant threads creating uniform
distribution of tension and distribution of force loading around the body of the implant.
3. Micro threads in the neck of the implant increase the grip of the cortical bone and reduce the tension of
pressure on the neck of the implant by axial and paraxial loading.
4. Locking elements on the body of the implant contribute to implant stability during the restoration stage
and creates resistance to removal forces.
5. Ability for self-tapping and screwing at the active design angle of the apex structure and thread shape.
Prosthetic parts
Cortex offers the widest variety of prosthetic solutions for all types of dental restoration.
Starting from straight and angular titanium structures to narrow and wide, anatomical and standard, structures
for casting, structures for progressive loading from Peek, various attachments, and our greatest achievement multi-unit systems that include a variety of various angular connection method systems of up to 30 degrees.
Kits and surgical tools
Cortex is proud of the quality of its surgical and prosthetic instruments and the optimal convenience they provide
to the clinicians during the surgical procedure. The kits are characterized by their prestigious design, quality
instruments and utmost simplicity in use. The unique kits of stoppers for drills especially designed to provide the
utmost safety to doctor and patient and to prevent errors in assembly during the disinfection and sterilization stage.
Implant packages
Cortex introduced a unique premium package (patent pending) to the global market for immediate loading which
includes the implant and all accompanying parts in a sterile and easy to use package, intended to provide a
solution for any possible scenario occurring during the performance of the surgical procedure.
The Prime package is perfectly designed to allow direct access to the implant by a key or micro-motor, bringing
it safely to the surgical site. The implant is packed in a titanium sleeve which prevents contact and contamination
of stainless steel and other materials.

New products to be launched in the coming year
In the past few months, Cortex has been completing the development of a new series of products, which will be
added to the variety of the company’s excellent products and will expand the variety of surgical and prosthetic
possibilities at the treating doctor’s disposal.
The new products are:
A series of implants with a conical connection (Morse conical connection) which minimizes the micro-gap
between the implant and the abutment and expands the switching platform.
Implants of 3 mm diameter with a variety of prosthetic structures.
Wide implants of 7, 8, and 9 mm in diameter (patent-pending) intended for immediate implantation after molar
extraction, ensuring better primary stability, better emergence profile, increased surface area of the implant x 2
or more than a conventional implant, and avoidance of the need for sinus lift surgeries in cases of a lack of the
amount of bone needed for implant placement.
Smart Fix mini-implant system intended for fixation of removable dentures in one treatment without the need
for additional appointments by guided installation of the implants with minimal invasion procedure. This is
an excellent solution for older patients or patients lacking funds, or those patients suffering from problems of
mobility or systemic problems.
Special structure to preserve esthetics of the gum structure in cases of immediate implant after extraction.
Unique orthodontic implant offering more stability and higher resistance to dragging in orthodontic treatment.
