One paste, many possibilities The Lustre Pastes NF are 3-dimensional ceramic stains developed to bring improved colour depth and lifelike translucency to all ceramics in the GC Initial range. The Lustre Pastes NF are available in ready-to-use jars and thanks to the special refreshing and diluting liquids an optimal consistency of the pastes is always guaranteed. Although developed for the Initial IQ Press-over and Layering systems, the Lustre Pastes NF can be used with the complete range of the GC Initial Family because they match to both “low” and “high” CTE ceramics. The Lustre Pastes NF are based on fine ceramic particles and can be applied in a thicker layer in which they exhibit unsurpassed vitality and feature a natural glaze on all restorations. Are you good at waxing up a bridge? Use the Initial IQ - One Body, Pressover-Metal or Press-over-Zircon technique to create the necessary crown or bridgework. With Lustre Pastes NF you can paint the characteristics at a later stage. Do you prefer to layer your crown and bridgework in the traditional way? If necessary, you can use the Lustre Pastes NF afterwards to change the colour, the brightness or the grey value without the need to layer a whole new crown. Perfect finish to y Whether you use the GC Initial IQ - One Body, Press-over the steps to finalize your crown and bridgework with t Press-over-Metal Press-over-Zircon Before applying the Lustre Pastes NF, the ceramic restoration is shaped and contoured using the appropriate diamond burs and is pre-polished with a ceramic polisher. Layering-over-Metal The finished crowns and bridges are then sandblasted with 50 microns Aluminium Oxide at 1,5 bar pressure. Basis The entire surface of the sandblasted restoration is coated with Lustre Paste NF Neutral. This coating is significantly thicker than what is achieved from a normal glaze firing. Application of Neutral Lustre Paste The required Vitapan Classic® Shade is created by the application of the Lustre Pastes NF ranging from “Body A - D”. This process, which only takes 2 minutes, encompasses everything which is necessary to create Vitapan Classic® shades. As a master, simply use the other available colours to create highly aesthetic results. The ‘Refreshing Liquid’ is used to preserve the thixotropic property of the pastes.
