DESCRIPTION
The Penton Audio SP8053 Series are
8” 10-watt, twin-cone, full-range
speaker assemblies. Each is designed
for long-term reliability, smooth
frequency response and wide dispersion.
Each model in this series is made using
high quality components including steel
baskets treated with rust-preventative
coating, copper voice coils, high performance transformers and twin cones.
Speaker baskets mount on a standard
bolt circle of 7.625” (195 mm) and
mate with nearly all popular mounting
accessories including Penton G8M
(CRS) or G8P (ABS) grilles and
BBX8B enclosure with BRG8B tile
bridge. Standard mounting fasteners
are also available.
The SP8053 is an 8-ohm model
available as a stand alone or ready to
accept customer supplied transformer.
The SP8053T assembly uses the same
8-ohm, twin-cone driver, but adds a premounted 5-watt 70.7/25-volt transformer. Connection is made directly via
wire nuts (see specifications).
Identical in basic design, the SP8053H
utilizes a 45-ohm voice coil.
Models are applicable for situations
including voice announce, background
music, signal reproduction and
applications requiring clear audio
reproduction.
