Recreation Road Infant School SIDP 2013-16 Area of Development: Your Journey Through School Links with our Aims: to promote positive parent-partnership Why is it important to us? We want all families to feel welcomed and supported throughout their time at Recreation Road Infant School. We value what families can bring and recognise the huge part they play in a child's education. To make the most of this we want to ensure that families understand what we do, why we do it and how their child's journey develops through school. We want to support families in their role in supporting both the social/ emotional and academic learning journeys of their children. We want families to understand and value the role school plays in providing social and emotional learning for our youngest children as well as providing a basis for good academic learning. We want to provide clear and helpful information to families as they move through school and to develop a partnership from which children can thrive. What are currently doing well? We have a range of evidence from comments in learning journals, RoA , questionnaires and Family Learning Evaluations appreciating what we currently do. Our open- door policy and welcoming staff are instrumental in creating a positive experience. Alongside of this we have good links with our cluster schools, a hard-working and well- respected Parent Support Advisor, well established communication links and our Investors in Families Award.
