A few things:
1.
Please check the draw Friday night in case there are any last minute changes.
2.
Be at the ground 30 minutes before kickoff – no later. Coaches and Managers have to get teams organised and this will give them plenty of time.
3.
Make sure you are in full WUFC gear – shorts, socks, shinpads, boots.
4.
If you are unable to play, LET YOUR COACH OR
MANAGER KNOW ASAP!
5.
Have fun!
I hope you’re excited as I am! Good luck to all our teams!
Ensure you play fair and in the spirit of the game.
Lastly, if you have any match reports from your games, please send them to Chris Baker ( baker.chris@live.com.au
by 4pm on the Monday after the match so they can be published in the next edition of The Wenty Goalpost.

Position in club?
Members Protection Information Officer (MPIO). This means that I am of the source of information and advice to ensure all our coaches, managers and comittee understand their requirements for working with children. I am currently working on a policy for the Club in this area.
Length of time involved with WUFC?
This is my second year as the MPIO and I’ve been hanging out on Saturday arvo watching WUFC games for 8 years.
Favourite A-League team?
Western Sydney Wanderers.
Favourite EPL team?
Liverpool
Most memorable football memory?
Seeing Football played in Europe was pretty memorable. We were lucky enough to get tickets to a
EURO 2012 qualifier when we visited the UK in 2010. Watching England play at Wembly was an amazing experience. (Shame they drew nil all to Montenagro.) We also got to go to a Merseyside
Derby (at Goodison, not Anfield) and that was CRAZY! There we were with our tickets, and the police officer who is checking the tickets at the gate politely tells us that we cannot wear our Liverpool merchandise in our seats, because we are sitting right in the middle of Everton heartland and makes
Nathan (my husband) put his jumper on, and promise not to take it off until we get back out of the stadium. He then preceeds to take our seat details and jot them in his little notebook saying with a smile to me "Just in case we have to get you out." I was very unconvinced of our safety. Liverpool lost that game too. We did get to see them play at Anfield the following week, and that was much more enjoyable (and safer) and they won!
What do you do for a job during the week?
I'm a stay at home mum but I occasionally do a little bit of work as a teacher at some of the local
Primary Schools.
How did you become a LFC fan?
Oh I married into that one. Nathan has been teaching me to appreciate LFC and its associated history since we starting hanging out together many years ago. I like to think I know what I am talking about now, but really I have no idea. I'm excited when I can recognise the players on the field past Steven
Gerrard.
Date:

Watch this space. When the draw is announced, further details will be posted in the newsletter.
