ALUBOX Series Aluminium junction boxes IP66 ALUBOX Series ALUMINIUM JUNCTION BOXES - IP66 REFERENCE STANDARD International standard IEC 6O670 (1989) and Modification 1 (1994) Enclosures for equipment for fixed electric installations for domestic or similar use Part 1: General Requirements TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS Enclosures and covers die-cast in aluminium alloy UNI 7369/2nd, supplied with blank walls and cover on, with screws for attaching the cover and for earthing; protection degree of assembled items: IP66. The outside of the enclosure is varnished giving an attractive appearance, while the inside has been left rough to guarantee the electrical continuity. Perforated zinc coated steel mounting plates can be attached to the enclosures, they are used for attaching equipment, terminals, etc. GENERAL DESCRIPTION STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS: With its ALUBOX series Scame is offering a range of metal products sure to satisfy specific installation requirements in situations that demand a robust product made in alluminium. • Wall mounting die-cast aluminium enclosures • External surface treatment: varnish with grey epoxy resin. • Holding seal in expanded EPDM, already mounted in place on the cover • Stainless steel screws for closing cover with flat screwdriver slot • Earthing screws on the base and on the cover, in zinc-coated steel (base earthing - in two corners) • Mounting plates in zinc-coated steel (kit with 4 screws for fixing them to the enclosure) • Fixing to wall by brackets incorporated in the enclosure base • Every box is secured with a plastic strap. With its excellent mechanical resistance and the strength to counter climatic and environmental stresses, the ALUBOX series is particularly well suited to environments that are harsh because of the kind of work carried out there - heavy industry installations, installation right beside a machine, for industrial automation, on board ships, for thermal, chemical and petrol chemical plants - even outside. The ALUBOX series aluminium junction boxes are suitable for using in environments of major fire risk (CEI 64/8 part 7) and in AD-FT installations according to the specifications of the CEI 64-2 norm.
