Cincinnati, OH (April 15, 2015) – TriHealth announced today Mark Clement has been named
President of TriHealth effective May 26. Mark will report directly to TriHealth’s current President

A native of Cincinnati, Mark joins TriHealth from Rochester (NY) Regional Health System where

“Mark is an accomplished and experienced healthcare executive who understands the complexities
of a large healthcare system like ours,” said Prout. “His track record for working collaboratively
and achieving results has been exceptional. We are thrilled to have Mark help lead our
organization during this time of healthcare transformation and expect him to play a vital role in
the leadership of TriHealth in the years ahead.”
Clement, 61, has spent the last 23 years as President or Chief Executive Officer for major healthcare
systems or hospitals around the country. Mark served as the President and Chief Executive Officer
at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago (1992-2000), MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham,

“I look forward to joining TriHealth, an organization known for its high-quality, cutting-edge care
provided by some of the nation’s leading physicians and caregivers,” said Clement. “Based on
what I’ve seen across the country, I believe TriHealth is at the forefront of the new health care
delivery model and I am excited to join the team taking the organization to the next level.”
“During our extensive search, Mark rose to the top because of his experience and leadership in
implementing innovative approaches to quality, his knowledge of large integrated healthcare
systems and his success in advancing and elevating hospitals’ critical service lines,” added Prout.
“He is uniquely qualified to accelerate our efforts to elevate TriHealth system to the top level of
quality performance nationwide.”
A 1972 graduate of Moeller High School, Mark earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science
(1976) and a Master’s degree in Hospital and Health Administration (1978) from Xavier University.
He and his wife Mary (who also grew up in Cincinnati), have three adult daughters. Mark was

“TriHealth is well positioned for the dramatic changes shaping health care by becoming a true
regional network delivering the best possible care, more conveniently and efficiently, right where
patients live,” Clement said “My plan is to partner with our physicians and leaders to continue to
stay ahead of these changes, while positioning TriHealth as a model health care system through
the innovative regional collaborations and statewide partnerships TriHealth already has
underway.”
