All review reports and action plans are approved by UPARC, and considered by University Education Committee. Student involvement and representation Monitoring/review of quality processes SCHOOL REVIEW Take place on a rolling basis every 5 years Visit schedules vary by faculty, but visits usually take place between February and April CURRICULUM REVIEW Curriculum Review and Development may take place alongside other processes triggered for a specific strategic requirement. APRs and FQT reports form part of the background documentation for the Review Panel School Review Guidelines A Bristol SU representative is on Review Panel. Panel meets with students during Review. Review report is fed back to school student reps. University Academic Quality & Standards Committee reviews and plans the work of FQT teams, and reports to Education Committee. FACULTY QUALITY TEAMS (FQT) APRs are part of the background information provided before the FQT visit FQT Guidelines Faculty Board PERIODIC REVIEW To launch 2016-17 University Academic Quality & Standards Committee Education Committee Student representatives are on FQT. FQT meets with students as part of visit. FQT report is fed back to school student reps. All the Faculty visit reports feed into an FQT Annual Overview Report Student representatives are key to these processes. After FQT visits a dept/school, an FQT visit report is produced ANNUAL PROGRAMME REVIEW (APR) Take place annually for all programmes. University Academic Quality & Standards Committee receives APR Overview Report annually and reviews APR process and guidelines. This usually takes the form of a departmental meeting APR Guidelines AQPO FQT Chair/Team School Education / T&L Committee Student feedback is considered at APR meetings. Student representatives may attend. APR outcomes are fed back to student reps. Dept/School produce their APR report/s Information feeding into APR process includes:- external examiner reports, student feedback on units/programmes, NSS and other survey results, staff unit feedback, programme statistics (intake, progression, award), programme and unit specifications, PSRB reports, FQT visit reports, minutes of Board of Examiners meetings and SSLC meetings.
