Nitrile rubber: Resistant to oils and hydrocarbons. (Others jackets on request: TEFLON, Polyamide, PVC, etc…) p. 9 Advantages Antihumedad Moisture is the main and ever-present enemy to optical fibre. By damages in jacket or by condensation. The double jacket of CDAD and its tight construction convert it into a watertight cable. Moisture Optical fibre Gel Jacket “The double jacket of CDAD and its tight construction convert it into a watertight cable” DISMANTLED FIBRE Without axial migration This phenomenon, usual for Loose Tube cables, does not appear in our Tight Buffered CDAD cable; making it suitable for vertical lays whatever its lengths and its environment. TWISTED AND COMPRESSED FIBRE Rodents protection The double jacket and the fibreglass braid armour provide an effective rodents protection. Fibre, non jelly-protected and under tension, bends on a very acute angle. The breaking risk is very high. The fibre excess of all the length accumulates on few meters of the lower part, increasing the attenuation due to compression efforts and numerous and closed bends. Strong and flexible Just as can be observed in the accompanying photos, our CDAD cable, in spite of its excellent flexibility, commodity and simple economic installation, is, above all, extremely strong and resistant. 1 2 3 4 1CDAD bent double and inserted between the jaws of a dynamometer. 2Cable being crushed by a pressure of 500kgs. 3Cable state after being removed from the dynamometer. 4Despite the tremendous pressure exerted on the cable, the fibre remains unaltered. Flame resistant (Fe-180) Fe180 denomination guarantees that a cable maintains operating without interrupting for 3 hours at an ignition temperature of 750ºC. (Norms: DIN-VDE 0266, IEC 60331 and UNE 20431-32). Moreover, it is a low smoke emission and halogen free (LSZH) cable. p. 10 Indoor / Outdoor Cdad over 16 Fibres Cable Description • Central Element (GRP) • Tight Buffer Fibre (0.9 mm) • Aramid • Jacket (Subcables) • Dielectric Armour • Outer Jacket Fire Resistance • Flame retardant • Halogen free • Low smoke emission • Fire resistance (180 min) 05 SP 16 Fibres 24 32 36 48 64 72 4 Subcables 4 FO 6 8 Subcables jacket Identification 9 12 16 18 Su Numbers Co Thermoplastic LSZH Outer jacket øS Thermoplastic Ide Fibreglass Braid Armour Fib Su me Aramid Yarns Strength Members Inn 1 Arm Colour Rodent protection • Rodent resistant ø Outer (mm) 11.2 ±0.5 13.2 ±0.5 15.2 ±0.5 16.3 ±0.5 18.1 ±0.5 20.1 ±0.5 Tensile Load Perm/Inst (N) 800/1450 1100/2000 1400/2500 1550/2800 2200/3950 2900/4000 2900/4000 øO 1500 Ten Temperature Range -20 ºC to +70 ºC Cru Min.
