Just for Kids!
Catamount’s Mountain Cats program is a fabulous program for children ages 4 to
12 to have a great time and increase skills fast in a learning environment that
emphasizes safety, on-hill etiquette and fun! Catamount has more than 35 ski and
snowboard professionals who specialize in coaching kids and we make sure that
your child has the best possible experience while learning the skills they need to
excel. Beginners can start on the Kid Cats slope with its own wonder carpet or
the SnowSports learning area with 2 additional Wonder Carpets. The Meadows
Beginner Area, served by The Meadows Triple Chairlift, features the most green
circle “easier” trails in the Berkshires; 12 trails, 8 of which are green circle “easier”
trails. The mile-long Upper & Lower Promenade run, Holiday, Esplanade, and
Colonel’s Caper are very popular trails for Mountain Cats. Soon kids progress to
Catamount’s summit where they are ready to take on the more difficult Ridge
Run trail and the mile-long Sidewinder run.
Variety for the Whole Family
In addition to the Meadows Beginner Area, Catamount features a diverse trail
network with long cruisers, challenging black diamond trails and the double black
diamond Catapult expert run. Freestylers enjoy 3 terrain parks. There is
snowmaking on 32 trails and grooming every night.
Mountain Cats Registration
You will need to register for the Mountain Cats program in the Berkshire Lodge.
Come directly into the lodge entrance facing the parking lot and proceed up the
stairs. The registration area is immediately to your left.
Full Day Program: 9:30am—3:30pm
$120—Includes lift ticket, instruction, lunch and 2 snacks.
Half Day Program: 9:30am—12pm or 1pm—3:30pm
$80—Includes lift ticket, instruction and 1 snack
If you register for a half day in the morning and wish to continue for the
afternoon session, the additional cost is $40 and will not include lunch.
Rentals not included
Rentals
Children’s skis and snowboards can be rented in the Mountain Cats meeting area
where we have over 100 pairs of skis and 30 snowboards.

$29—Snowboard/Boots/Helmet (ages 7-12)
We do not rent snowboards for children under 7 years of age.
Reservations
Advance reservations are recommended. Reservation requests can be made by
calling the Catamount SnowSports desk at 518-325-3200 ext. 123.
Reservations must be placed more than 48 hours in
advance from the day being requested. If your child cannot make the reserved
day or time, a 24 hour cancellation notice is requested.
