coats for the archdiocesan coat drive. We will
be delivering them on Monday. If you have
any that you forgot to drop off, please get
them here by Monday morning.

The combined efforts of enthusiastic parents, inspiring faculty and staff and well prepared, confident and intelligent tour guides all helped showcase our wonderful school at the Kindergarten Open House this Thursday. An extra thank you to our Hospitality Committee who also provided an amazing and beautiful spread for our visitors. They will be back again for more at the K‐8 Open House next Thursday. Next week has a LOT going on as we gear up for the holidays! MONDAY: The collection for the HSA Christmas Gift Fund begins! Annual Thanksgiving Food Basket
Program at Blessed Sacrament
Coordinated by the Student Council and
Christ CARE Corps
Christ CARE Corps will be coordinating the Annual
Thanksgiving Food Drive at Blessed Sacrament
School. Each class is asked to bring in the specific
food items listed below, as well as a donation of
$5.00 to buy turkeys and fresh groceries. These
donations will be distributed to families in our
school community, families in our parish social
concerns program, and families served by the
Spanish Catholic Center.
Please send in your food and $5.00 cash
donation by NEXT THURSDAY,
NOVEMBER 19th.

HOLIDAY BAZAAR
Tomorrow, Saturday, November 14 10am – 4pm School Gym and Parish Center The Holiday Bazaar is a Blessed Sacrament holiday tradition! Plan to have the whole family attend to play fun kids activities, eat delicious Chick‐fil‐a and Panera Bread lunch, buy raffle tickets for cool raffle baskets, like an iPad mini or PS4, plus yummy baked goods, not to mention shop the fantastic vendors and outrageously cheap and fabulous used clothes and white elephant sales!! Hope to see you all there! Saturday, November 14th between 10am and 2pm After you do your holiday shopping at the Bazaar, please join us on the Patterson side of the Field of Dreams to plant tulip bulbs to replenish the Field of Remembrance. Assistance Fund. 100% of the money raised by the
fund helps current BSS families who are experiencing
financial hardship meet their tuition needs. Since the
fund was established during the 2008/09 school year,
over $280,000 has been distributed to more than 60
families.
Last year the generosity of our parishioners
through Blessed Sacrament’s Giving Tree
provided Christmas gifts for over 700
underprivileged children in DC. Here is

After School Art
BS Parents! As the leaves turn stunning
colors and we begin to pull out our coats, it
is a good time to review the snow policy.
The snow policy can be reviewed here . A
brief summary of the most important
points:
• Blessed Sacrament School follows
Montgomery County Public Schools
(MCPS) for all weather related CLOSINGS
and DELAYS.
• To receive information about MCPS
decisions on weather-related openings,
please sign up for the Montgomery County
alerts.
• We will revisit the snow policy again this
school year. Please be on the lookout for a
survey on this issue later this school year.
New sessions of After
School Art begin soon.
After school art is a
place where students
practice contemplating the good, the true, and
the beautiful, and enjoy friends and fun. Open
to all grades and ability levels. Classes are as
follows.
Tuesdays- Grades 3 & up 3:15- 4:45 11/17- 2/9
Wednesdays- Kindergarten 3:15-4:15 11/18 - 2/3
Thursdays- Grades 1 & 2 3:15-4:45 11/19- 2/4
All supplies and snack are included. Cost is
$235.
