Bryan Hehir on “Pope Francis and the Church’s Social Ministry.” As usual, Fr. Hehir gave concise and incisive observations of Francis’ pastoral views of the mission of the Church and his goals in reshaping its governing structure. Many thanks to Fr. Hehir and to all those who helped to organize the event! This weekend we begin the celebration of Catholic Schools Week. We are happy to welcome students and parents from our school community to our Family Mass at 9:00 a.m. A combined parish-school choir will lead music for the celebration. We are blessed to be able to continue the work of education and formation begun in 1901 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame. On another note – I am hoping to be away from the parish (barring a snow storm or another unplanned disaster) next week. Therefore, there will be no morning 8:00 a.m. Mass for the weekdays, including Saturday. The weekend Mass schedule is not affected. Thank you. How Full is Your Cup?
