Category 3 FTP (ScTP) Shielded Twisted Pair
Description
Category 3 FTP (ScTP) cables are constructed with 24 AWG solid
copper insulated conductors (horizontal) or 26 AWG stranded conductors (patch) which are twisted into pairs with varying lay lengths,
cabled together and covered by an aluminum foil and a flexible PVC
jacket. The cables are designed to support analog and digital voice
systems as well as low bit-rate data systems such as 10 Base T, 16
Mb/s Token Ring and 100VG AnyLAN. The cables are fully compliant
with the requirements of TIA/EIA-568-B.2 for Category 3 cables.
