Hookbolt electric strike
STEP 18 electric strike is used together with a hookbolt lock and deadbolt
sashlock. Suitable for installation in doors with a high number of entries
and exits. STEP 18 provides a high level of entry security with durable and
quick locking/unlocking.
Proven evacuation with emergency handle and emergency opening button
STEP 18 can be combined with Assa Connect 710, 711 emergency exit lock in accordance
with SS-EN179 to achieve a high level of evacuation security in the event of a fire or other
emergency situation.
STEP 18 can also be assembled in an emergency escape route which can be opened with
an emergency opening button. The proven preload technology ensures that the door can
always be opened.
High security for very frequent use
STEP 18 makes it possible to achieve a high level of security in doors that will be opened
frequently and quickly. The full breaking strength is achieved in both fail secure and fail
safe function.

STEP 18 is equipped with our preload technology which provides the
following benefits:
• Sealing strips and pressure differences – The preload function ensures
that the door can always be unlocked even if the door lock is exerting
tension against the electric strike
Connection takes places with quick connector.
Built-in protector diode.
• Automatic door control – The preload function, combined with the
quick unlocking feature, means that the door can be opened quickly
without a risk of getting stuck
• Emergency exit door - The preload function ensures that the fire alarm
can release the lock, even if there is pressure against the door from a
crowd, sealing strips, pressure differences or warped doors
