With the use of two separate AR8007 modules on a Dual Mezzanine FGPA processor a total of 8 channels of analog data can be sampled, digitized and processed on a single AR1006 Dual Mezzanine FPGA Processor. When combined with an DAC mezzanine card, such as the AR8006 Four Channel 1.2 GSPS 14-Bit DAC mezzanine card, a single AR1006 can generate four arbitrary waveforms and digitize the returned waveforms, providing a complete data acquisition solution in a single 6U VME card. The AR8007 ADC chipset allows for either baseband or second Nyquist band real-time sampling of analog IF or RF signals with over 550 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth and 11.3 effective bits. PR A single onboard PLL clock is used to clock all four ADC channels. The AR8007 has the option for an external CMOS clock input signal which may be used to sample the four ADC input channels. A front panel MMCX connector is available for this purpose. The AR8007 contains an external input trigger signal which is used to synchronize data collection of multiple AR8007 modules. An onboard switch network allows for selection of either an onboard VCO generated clock configured with the use of an onboard phase-locked loop (PLL) circuit, or an external clock input, which may optionally be fed to the PLL or used to directly sample the ADCs. An external clock output is provided for phase-aligning multiple AR8007 modules. A single CMOS trigger logic circuit is provided for synchronizing the four ADC channel inputs on a single mezzanine module, along with an external trigger input used to synchronize data collection of all four ADC channel inputs of multiple AR8007.
