Roadmap f or El Camino College ADN Program and CSU Dominguez Hills RN-BSN Program Admission Requirements for El Camino College (ECC) ECC has a four-semester Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Program. Prerequisite course requirements must be met prior to acceptance into the nursing program. Prerequisites include: 1. Graduation from an accredited U.S. high school or equivalent. 2. Acceptance as a fully matriculated student at ECC. 3. Meet the ECC Math requirement. 4. Cumulative grade point average of 2.5 in all college coursework5. Completion of all pre-requisite coursework (see table below). Science GPA must be 2.5 or better - all science courses must have been completed within seven years prior to the date the application for the nursing program is submitted. 6. Nursing Assessment/Readiness Test with a state recommended passing score (TEAS version 5 with minimum score of 62.0). 7. All general education courses and nursing courses must be passed with a minimum grade of “C”. Eligible students are usually admitted every fall and spring semester. Students are encouraged to complete any lower division general education courses prior to enrollment. Admission Requirements • 60 or more transferable college units (70 semester units/105 quarter units maximum accepted from community colleges and 96 units from a four-year institution) • Current RN licensure in the United States or transcripts noting you are near the end of the program • College GPA of at least 2.0.
