The prerequisite for MATH 100 is a B in Pre-calculus 12 or Principles of Math 12. It may also be satisfied with a B in MATH 115 (or an A in MATH 107). The prerequisite for MATH 108 is a C+ in Pre-calculus 12 or Principles of Math 12. It may also be satisfied with a C in MATH 107 or MATH 115. Students planning to concentrate in fields such as computer science, chemistry, geology, mathematics or physics normally take MATH 100 as part of their program. The same is true for biology students heading to SFU or UBC. Please see an academic advisor for more information. 2 There is no mathematics admission requirement but in second year students take STAT 116 and PSYC 201, which have mathematics prerequisites. The prerequisite for these courses may be satisfied with a C in one of Pre-calculus 11, Principles of Math 11, Foundations of Math 11 or Applications of Math 11; or C- in Pre-calculus 12 or Principles of Math 12. The prerequisite may also be satisfied with a C in one of MATH 135, 137 or 072 taken as an extra course before the start of second year. The prerequisite may also be satisfied with a C+ in MATH 135 or 072 or a C in MATH 137 taken as an extra course before the start of the program or during the first term of the program. Note that these courses cannot be used to satisfy any University Transfer (UT) mathematics requirement in the program. 2 There is no mathematics admission requirement but in the first year students take MATH 108, which has a prerequisite of C+ in Pre-calculus 12 or Principles of Math 12. The prerequisite for MATH 108 may also be satisfied with a C in MATH 107 or 115. 3 MATH 108 is a highly recommended course, which has a prerequisite of C+ in Pre-calculus 12 or Principles of Math 12. The prerequisite for MATH 108 may also be satisfied with a C in MATH 107 or 115. 4 The Post Degree Diploma program in Business Administration - Human Resource Management & Leadership option has no mathematics admission requirement, whereas the Accounting and Marketing options do.
