REGISTERED NURSING ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE PRELIMINARY REQUIREMENT CHECKLIST Clark College MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TASKS 1. Complete the Community College Application for Admission and Statement of Intent forms. Return them to Clark College Enrollment Services with the non-refundable fees: $25 for the admission application fee for students new to Clark; $50 for the program application fee (note: all fees subject to change). 2. Submit official college transcripts from ALL colleges attended and send updated official transcripts each term. 3. All prerequisites must be completed prior to submitting an application to the program. Applications will not be considered unless all preliminary requirements are completed prior to the application deadline. There is a 7-year limit on science/social science courses at the time of program entry. When calculating points, the most recent class attempt will be used. 4. Students must earn a minimum grade of “C” (2.00) or higher in each program class, unless otherwise noted. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT UPON ACCEPTANCE INTO NURSING PROGRAM All accepted students must complete a Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) training program and hold an active verifiable NAC certification by the deadline stated within the Nursing Acceptance letter or their space will be given to the next eligible alternate. Credential numbers will be verified online to ensure active status. (Keep in mind that it can take as long as six weeks to receive a credential number after completing NAC training). Must be completed with a 2.0 or above prior to graduation. 3 PE Physical Education (must be a fitness class) Must be completed with 2.0 (or “Satisfactory” grade) prior to graduation. 1 CREDITS PROGRAM SELECTION TIMELINE There is a 6- to 7-month break once students complete the preliminary requirements before they start the Nursing program, if selected.
