SPECIAL SIGN FACES Custom sign faces are available on certain exit sign products to meet specific needs. The following series of exit signs is offered to meet those special requirements in health care, schools, public facilities and office environments EX THERMOPLASTIC AND LS STEEL SERIES CONSULT FACTORY FOR AVAILABILITY • EX Series: Plastic • PCE Series: Cast Exits • ELX Series: Premium Edge-lit ELX SERIES • LSX Series: Steel PCE SERIES EX AND LSX SERIES CONTACT LSI INDUSTRIES FOR ORDERING DETAILS, AVAILABILITY, CUSTOM LAYOUT, AND LEAD TIMES OPTIONS GLOSSARY DIAGNOSTIC OPTIONS Many of LSI’s Life safety Products have Automatic Monitoring and Testing Features which enable the user to comply with Life Safety and Fire Codes for Testing and monitor these systems, assuring the Life Safety Equipment is in working order. The following options are available and are listed on the appropriate products were applicable. ST – SELF TEST: THE “ST” Option conducts automatic and manual tests and indicates real time status of the lamp, battery, and charger, with Tri-color indicator lamps. Automatic tests include : System Analysis every ten seconds, with actual load tests performed for a 3 minute duration every 30 days. Also a 30 minute duration test every 180 days. Manual Tests include a 3, 30 & 90 minute battery discharge and lamp test. SD2- SELF –TEST & DIAGNOSTICS: This function automatically monitors the operating condition of the AC Power, battery supply voltage, the EM lamp continuity, and charging circuit. If a failure is detected, a visual multi-colored LED will alert and remain in that status until failure has been corrected. The SD2 will conduct a full function code compliant test in emergency mode five minutes every 28 days with a 90 minute test every six months. SD2 INDICATOR SEQUENCE CODES: IF ALARM INTERFACE: Alarm Interface Allows an External Fire Alarm relay to activate the emergency mode operation prior to any potential power loss. LS SHATTERPROOF LAMP SHIELD: The Lamp Shields are used to protect the lamp from accidental breakage and glass contamination such as in food processing industry. HEAT 12 / HEAT 27: The heat option warms the battery for use in Cold Ambient Areas such as refrigerated storage. Available in 120 & 277 volt PS12 / PS27: Power Switch Option is to allow Maintenance on the Unit without Activating the Emergency mode Available on 120, 277, DC Voltage PSDC: Power Switch DC Option is Power Disconnect used to Turn the AC Power off to a Unit When a facility is to be unoccupied for an extended period of time without initializing the EM Mode. SVT SPECIAL VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER: Special voltage transformer option is used to accept alternative voltage and Frequencies 220v 50Hz LOW VOLTAGE DISCONNECT: The Low Voltage Disconnect feature will disconnect the battery prior to an unacceptable deep discharge, but not before the required the required 90 minute emergency operation. AC LOCKOUT: The Lockout feature prevents battery drain after the initial installation, but prior to normal AC power is activated primarily as a new construction installation feature. ONE FLASH-PAUSE BATTERY DISCONNECT TWO FLASHES / PAUSE BATTERY FAULT THREE FLASHES / PAUSE LAMP FAULT FOUR FLASHES / PAUSE CHARGER FAULT BROWN –OUT PROTECTION: This feature allows the Unit to switch automatically to Emergency Mode if the AC Power Supply drops below 20% of normal. FIVE FLASHES / PAUSE TRANSFER FAULT NEMA RATING DESCRIPTIONS SD2A: The SD2A has the same functions as the SD2 except with an Audible Alarm NEMA 3: Provides a degree of protection against windblown dust and or rain STA: This function is the same as the ST except with an Audible Alarm NEMA 4: Protects enclosed equipment against all types of water entry. OTHER OPTIONS AND FEATURES TD12 & TD27 TIME DELAY: This feature is used when there is a built in period of time desired that the unit needs to remain in emergency mode after AC Power has been restored. An example would be Re-strike time on HID may require emergency lighting for an additional time to maintain a safe level of illumination. 2CIR TWO CIRCUIT INPUT: Two Circuit input is most commonly used in Non-Battery units for when AC Power Fails, the second Circuit may be from a Generator or Inverter Unit to restore the Egress and Exit Illumination. Project Name Catalog # NEMA 3X: Provides a degree of protection against falling rain NEMA 4X: Protects enclosed equipment against all types of water entry with corrosion resistance protection NEMA 6: Provides a degree of Protection against falling rain, splashing water, and hose directed water. NEMA 12: Protects enclosed equipment against entry of fiber, dust and dirt. NEMA 13: Provides a degree of protection against lint, dust, seepage, external condensation, and spraying of water, oil, and non corrosive liquid. Fixture Type 10/09/15 © 2015 LSI INDUSTRIES INC.
