CONVERSIONS
The low profile of the KPLED 5 WATT series conversion kits enables them
to be fitted inside the latest generation LED linear and LED down lighter
luminaires and offers a cost effective and environmentally friendly solution
to the conventional fluorescent conversions.
The convertalux KPLED 5 WATT series has been designed specifically to operate
in conjunction with existing mains LED ballasts with an LED drive voltage up to 36
volts, allowing a much easier and lower risk conversion.
The KPLED 5 WATT module is completely electrically isolated from the existing
mains LED driver ensuring additional safety and reliability functionality and in
addition incorporates an onboard switch live relay ensuring that the mains supply
to the mains LED driver is removed when the luminaire is switched into emergency.
Hence, eliminating the risk of the mains LED driver being damaged with a “no
lamp” fault condition when connected to a central test unit that only interrupts the
permanent supply.
The low profile inverter modules incorporate a constant current battery charger
suitable to recharge and maintain the state of charge of either the connected nickel
cadmium or environmentally friendly nickel metal hydride battery.
The output is also configurable to four separate output voltage/current configurations
to cover a wide range of LED driver voltages.
Designed and manufactured in accordance with the requirements of EN61347-2-7
the KPLED 5 WATT module has been designed and tested for compliance with all
current and known future requirements of EU directives.
