Full compatibility with all type of load Full compatibility with all types of loads with PF up to 0.9 without de-rating Fully compliant with leading power factor loads UPS do not require de-rating for leading power factors and can be connected to any load within the nominal kVA and kW rating of the UPS regardless of power factor. Optimum TCO : Excellent OPEX Double Conversion Mode maximizes performances with any kind of load and with any condition of the electrical environmental Under normal conditions, Efficiency up to 92.5% Line Interactive Mode (ECO mode) maximizes energy savings. Liebert GXT MT+ operates under line Interactive Mode as energy saving operation, Efficiency > 97% Charging Capacity “Liebert GXT MT+ has 5.0 kW of charging capacity “ This means…. it will recharge the same battery approx… • 1.4 times faster than a UPS with 3 kW of charging power • 2 times faster than an UPS with 2 kW of charging power ...alternatively…. it will charge a battery 1.4 to 2 times larger (Ah) in the same amount of time. Flexiblity TCO Avail Liebert GXT MT+ Features and benefits Feature Benefit Three level inverter/rectifier The voltage stress of the UPS semiconductors is reduced by half, thus ensuring prolonged life of the critical components. Replaceable power subassemblies Easy replacement in the event of failure significantly reduces the mean time to repair (MTTR). High Efficiency Greatly reduces OPEX and return on investment. Unprecedented integrated autonomy Virtually eliminates the need for an external battery cabinet and the costs associated with its installation. Output PF=0.9 11% more active power compared to a 0.8 PF UPS eliminates the need for overseeing the system and delivers increased savings. Input PF=0.99 Minimizes installation costs by enabling the use of smaller generators, cabling and circuit breakers. Integrated circuit breakers Simplifies installation and reduces the need for external devices Integrated Inbuilt Paralleling Allows the deployment of the N+X redundancy and integrated parallel control in each module ensuring total redundancy Integrated External transformer option Makes Liebert GXT MT+ compatible with: • Medical and other critical applications • Installation with two independent input sources • Installation in distribution without neutral. External battery flexibility Allows a wider choice of battery and possible re-use of existing battery banks High kW battery charger power Allows for effective reduction of the battery re-charging time and increases its ability to manage long run times. Customer Problems/Challenges Space constrained, server rooms and network closets. Expensive service costs for installation and maintenance of IT devices/equipment. Too many assets to manage and stock. Generator outputs frequency variations onto the load. Lack of ability to remotely manage multiple locations. Human error. Availability of critical applications during power disturbances Not enough Runtime Configuring Correct Solutions for Customers Important things to ask What is your expected load today? In the future? How much runtime do you need from the UPS today? In the future? Rack or tower form factor? If rack, how many racks will you be powering? Will each rack require one or two rack power distribution units? Who is your current rack vendor and are you happy with them? What input power (voltage and breaker size) is available? What Output voltage is required? What kind of output receptacles will you need? (How many power supplies or power cords does your equipment have?) How much floor space is available? Are you going to power loads that are in different rooms? How will you be managing this UPS? Is remote management valuable? What kind of service do you expect from Emerson? Do you want redundancy and/or run time scalability to increase availability? Do you require an external maintenance bypass? Do you have other Emerson UPS? If so, would you be interested in inventory management for all of them? Handling Objections from customers Q: I’m concerned with buying such a new product R: The GXT Family was launched May 2003 as the GXT MT in Europe and Asia. It was renamed in early 2005 to GXT MT+. The inverter design is actually based on a Third level inverter design that started shipping in 1997. These designs are among the most robust available. Q: I already buy Brand “L”. Emerson on-line UPS are not as good as Brand “L” since Brand “L” specialize in online and are on the 4th generation R: Liebert GXT MT+ will match spec with any competitor. GXT MT+ has won many awards world wide, beating out the legacy competitors. Many of the design engineers on the GXT MT+ design team came from legacy online UPS companies. Additionally Emerson designs and manufacturers the online UPS; many legacy competitors DO NOT design or build their single phase UPS‟s anymore. Q: The Run Time is not long enough for my application. R: Run time is based on Watts and Battery capacity. The 10 kVA provides more than 2 hours Back up at “full load” of 9 kW and 20 kVA provides approximately 1 hour Back at „‟ full load of 18 kW. Traditional legacy UPS supply only 8000 watts. Q: Brand X has dual input feeds. I think I want this. R: This feature is of significant value if the end user has separate utility power feeds from different power generators which is very rare. Nuisance tripping of input breaker and user error on the input side of the UPS can usually be correct in the time the UPS is on battery. Most customers with this feature in this UPS space will end up tying the feeds together into a single feed like the GXT MT+ has rather than expending the time of wiring separate feeds on the same circuit.
