USING YOUR AIRCUT DEVICE
HAIR MUST BE CLEAN (WASHED) PRIOR TO USE!
HAIR MUST BE DRY PRIOR TO USE!
STEP ONE:
Get familiar with the stylers. There is no need for measuring, interlocking nor
piecing together. 8 stylers in 1/2” increments from 1/2” to 4.” You also get a second
1/2” styler with a taper. Simply snap in the necessary styler and start cutting hair.
1/2”
STEP TWO:
Select the proper styler that suits the desired hair length by
holding the styler with its base against the top of the head. A
minimum of a 1/2 “ of hair needs to extend beyond the styler.
It can extend to any length beyond the styler. No combinations
of stylers are necessary - only ONE styler is used at a time
when cutting hair.
STEP THREE:
Per instructions on page 8, steps 5 & 6, lubricate the blades prior to installing the

the AirCut device. The key is to bounce it up and down making
sure the hair is being drawn through the styler. Keep the AirCut
housing straight up and down - NEVER rock it back and forth.
Keep this up until the desired length is achieved.
STEP FIVE:
Do the sides or new area of the head that you want
shorter than the area you started with. Measure the
new area against the stylers as you did in Step Two.
Attach that styler and continue to cut. To cut hair
on the side of the head you need to hold the AirCut
housing so that the blades are kept vertical. This will give a good
transition from the top of the head to the side of the head.
STEP SIX:
If a taper is desired - attach the tapered styler so that the
shortest end is facing down. Trim around the ears and

look to the haircut.
You should perform detailed cutting with a scissors or clippers around
the ears, sideburns and hairline on the neck.

HAIRCUT STYLES:
SINGLE-LENGTH LOOK:
Make all the hair one length, from 1/2” to 4” long. To do this select the styler that
You can, if desired - cut multiple times by selecting stylers that will take off a
little at a time – repeating cuts with a shorter styler each time. Continue in this
manner until the desired length is achieved. This is a personal preference and is not
required to cut the hair with the AirCut device.
TAPERED LOOK:
For a traditional tapered look of long hair on top and progressively shorter hair on
the sides and back start by cutting the top ONLY. Select the styler that will remove

tapered look - choose a shorter styler for the sides. Finish off the haircut by using
the tapered styler for around the ears and back of the neck. Again, you should
perform detailed cutting with a scissors or clippers around the ears, sideburns and
hairline on the neck.
BUZZ-CUT LOOK (1/4” - 3/8” long):
For this style the AirCut device can be used without a styler attached. This will
require a steady hand and attention because you will not have a styler as a guide.
You will be attempting a more “freestyle” method.
Be VERY CAREFUL when cutting around ears not to get them caught in the blades.
The AirCut device can cut any length of hair desired when no stylers are
used.
As mentioned, this will require a steady hand and attention because there will be no
styler to guide you.
CAUTION!
In this “freestyle” method.
cutting around the ears,
sideburns and neck will
REQUIRE the use of a trimmer,
as the blades of the AirCut
device could cut the ear.
