Students can still sit the examination again in this series if they choose, but they should be entered as a regular entry by the standard entry deadline.

Cambridge offers a separate retake entry deadline in the November series, in order to give students who have sat examinations in the June series additional time to consider their June results before deciding whether to enter the subject again in the November series.

If a student has sat for a particular syllabus in the June series, they are able to enter for the same syllabus in the November series as a retake entry.

If a student is entering for retake subjects in this manner, the school must provide the previous entry details used by the student in the June series as part of their entry, and each relevant syllabus must be indicated as a retake when the syllabus entries are first submitted to Cambridge.
