The HESI A2 is a computerized pre-nursing exam that will be administered by the Nursing Department only for those
people who are applying to the Undergraduate (Generic /Generic-Accelerated) Nursing Program at Lehman College.
YOU MUST BE A CURRENT LEHMAN COLLEGE STUDENT (SPRING SEMESTER). This exam is given once a
year during the annual nursing application period, January through March.
If you require special accommodations for this exam, you are responsible for letting the Nursing Department know
this no less than 10 business days (2-weeks) before your test date. Any evidence, at any time of misconduct in
terms of by-passing Nursing Department rules and policies concerning any pre-admission test will invalidate your exam
and there is no appeal. The Nursing Department reserves the right to change or modify its policies and procedures.
TESTING AT LEHMAN COLLEGE
Scheduling Your Exam
The HESI A2 is the Pre-Nursing Exam required for the Generic/Accelerated Undergraduate Nursing Program at
Lehman College. The schedule of test dates will be posted online at the Nursing Website.
Sign up for a test date begins in December/January. You can only sit this exam once during this period in a given
year.

Exams will be held in the Nursing Department Computer Lab, Bldg. T-3, 1 Floor, Room 102.
Sign up for one test date only. Check your personal calendar of other activities before you sign up for an exam and be
sure that the exam date/time you select is the one you want. Once you have scheduled yourself, you will get a
electronic confirmation using the e-mail you provided at the time of registering for the exam. Any change is considered
a cancellation and you will have to pay a $15.00 late fee to reschedule. You are not allowed to switch exam dates
with another person.
Identification
You must bring current and valid photo identification such as college I.D., State or Federal ID such as Driver’s License, or
U.S. passport to show the Test Proctor on your exam day. You will not be admitted without proper identification.
Fees: (Money order or Bank checks only, made out to Lehman College, no personal checks or cash)
There is a non-refundable $75.00 fee, to sit for the HESI A2 exam and it is given to the proctor when you come to take
your exam. There is also a non-refundable $15.00 reschedule fee if you change your scheduled exam date. The
Nursing Department will not be held responsible if you sign-up for an incorrect date or you have another person sign
you up for the exam, later decide to reschedule, or do not show up for the exam date you chose - you are still liable for
both exam and reschedule fees.
Rescheduling Due to Cancellation or No-Show
If you reschedule or do not show up for your scheduled exam, it is considered a cancellation. You may reschedule one
time only after your initial sign up. There is a $15.00 reschedule fee. Follow instructions online to reschedule for a
remaining test date, if available, or call 718-960-8060. You will pay both the $75.00 exam fee and the $15.00
reschedule fee. Both fees are non-refundable. One money order can be used to pay both fees.

TEST CONDITIONS
THE FOLLOWING VIOLATIONS ARE NOT ALLOWED ONCE THE EXAM BEGINS
• Talking, passing gum, candy, written notes or use of verbal/hand signals.
• Using a handheld calculator
• W earing of headphones, baseball caps, hats, coats—these must be removed.
• Using cell phone, PDA, Text Messaging, MP3/MP4, I-Pod, or other communications or music
player devices. These must be turned off and put away in your bag.
• Have any openly displayed communications, music player, or electronic device of any kind in your
hand, lap, seat, on your desk, or anywhere around the computer station you are using.
• Using the Internet, Email, Instant Messaging, or CD-ROM/DVD player.
• Have any Internet browser, Email or CD-ROM/DVD player program, or any other Windows
program open or in operation on the computer you are using other than the examination itself.
Any evidence of misconduct, cheating, or violation of any Test Condition above is just cause
to invalidate your exam. Your test will be stopped immediately and you will be asked to leave
the test site. There is no appeal, no refund of fees, and no exam retake case.
TEST REQUIREMENTS - DAY OF EXAM
Non-refundable Exam Fee: $75.00

Non-refundable Reschedule Fee: $15.00 (if required)
◊ Bring a Money Order for the exam fee of $75.00 (or $90.00 if paying for both the exam and reschedule fees).
• Make your money order payable to Lehman College.
• Remove and keep the money order receipt for your records.
• Personal checks or cash are not accepted.
◊ Bring valid and current photo identification such as college I.D. or State or Federal I.D. such as Driver’s
License, U.S. passport.
• No one will be admitted to the exam without the proper identification.
◊ Arrive 15 minutes before exam start time. Late arrivals will not be admitted after exam begins.
◊ Test results are provided immediately after testing
