One or two 4-20m A current outputs to send im portant system inform ation to other devices DESCRIPTION The IRC90H fire detectors and UxF-IR fire controllers provide fast, reliable flam e detection in a wide variety of applications. The m icroprocessor based controllers (U4F pictured above) are available in one, two or four channel versions which are the U1F, U2F and U4F. The system uses the Autom atic Visual Integrity (vi) feature, which provides a continuous check of detector optical surfaces, detector sensitivity, and electronic circuitry of the detector/controller system . Autom atic fault identification m onitors the system for proper operation and provides a digital display of system status using a num erical code. Controller response includes actuation of three or four relays for direct control of field response devices, one or two 4 to 20m A current outputs, a full array of faceplate indicators. The m axim um response distance is achieved at a 50 cps sensitivity setting and the m inim um at 80 cps. For applications involving high background radiation potential, the system can be desensitized by increasing the count rate required to actuate it. < Response Tim e: Response to a saturating (high intensity) IR source is typically 10 m illiseconds for the instant alarm outputs and 0.5 seconds for the area alarm outputs when sensitivity is set for 50 cps and tim e delay is set for 0.5 seconds (m inim um settings). < Terminal Configuration: See Figure 3 for U4F-IR term inal configuration -3- NOTE For U2F-IR controllers SENSOR INPUT 3, SENSOR INPUT 4, VI DRIVER 3, and VI DRIVER 4 terminals are not used.
