different courses will be offered Doors of Mercy, Walking Toward Eternity, The Synoptic
Gospels, and Rediscover Jesus. Again; sign-up forms for
these classes are at the Church entrances. Please take
time to read over the descriptions and choose a class to
attend during this Lenten season.

Catholic Schools Week begins THIS Sunday,
January 31st with Mass at 9:00am followed by a
Pancake Breakfast prepared by our Knights
of Columbus. Please come to the Parish Hall
and help our students, faculty and staff kick-off
Catholic Schools Week!
The 2016 Archbishop's Appeal will be held on February 6 th &
7th in our Parish. The programs, services, and
ministries supported by the Appeal are for
Catholics in central and western Oklahoma.
Archdiocesan financial support is possible
because of each of us. We are His Church. . .
Share the gifts you have received. The Church
serves each of us, and our financial and physical support
continues God's work in the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City.

February Birthday Brunch
Catholic Charities will be offering FREE individual, couples, and
family counseling services in Ponca City. Services will be based
on a brief therapy model of 6 sessions. For more information,
or to sign up, please call 405-524-0969.

FOURTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Catholic Foundation Scholarships Available
The 2016-17 Catholic Foundation of Oklahoma scholarship applications
are now available. The Catholic Foundation offers a $6,000 scholarship to
students attending a non-Catholic college or university and a $12,000
scholarship to students attending a Catholic college or university.
Additional scholarships may be available to a University of Oklahoma
medical student, a nursing student at the school of their choice, students
studying pastoral music, and a student attending Saint Gregory’s
University. If interested, visit the Catholic Foundation website at

Completed applications are due by Wednesday, April 6.

Sunday, February 7th in the McGurk Room.
Children's liturgy will have its final week this
weekend due to lack of interest.
Religious Education News:
Prayer Service February 3rd: 4th grade RE Class. Please
join us for the Stations of the Cross this date as well.
Sacrament preparation for children and

Dear Parishioners, we ask that you mark your
calendars for a date that fits your schedule to have
you and/or your family's portrait made for our
upcoming Church Directory. Also, the current
committee will step down after this directory and
we want to "train" new volunteers so they will be in
the know for the next directory. We will walk you
through every step of the process.
Please
prayerfully consider stepping up and assisting this
year. Call Maria at 580-382-6008 to volunteer.

17, 18, 19, 20 and 21; Newkirk dates: May 24, 25
and 26; Make-up dates: June 14, 15, 16, 17 and
18.
The Minister Schedule for the months of
March, April and May is being prepared.
This schedule will include Holy Week as
well as Easter. Please call the office
with dates you are unavailable to serve.
Also, just a reminder, the Schedule will
no longer be mailed. Watch the bulletin for information on
when you can pick your schedule up at Mass.

Several of the donations to the school and
school foundation will be or have been
matched by ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66.
Stations of the Cross schedule: Please join the
parishioners of St. Mary's on Friday's
during the Lenten Season for Stations
of the Cross. They will be in the
Church beginning at 6:00pm. There
will be a Potluck Dinner Friday,
March 4th hosted by the Parish
Council, there will not be any other
"Lenten Meals" served. Read the bulletin insert for
other Lent devotion opportunities.
