IMnet - The Networking Cabling Cabinet
Network Managers and installers are experiencing a large increase in
the number of network connections being accommodated within a
cabinet. The IMnet cabling enclosure provides unparalleled benefits
in the ability to provide cable access. The fundamental purpose
of a network cabling enclosure is to control and protect the large
volume of data cables and patch cords housed within the enclosure.
IMnet’s unique design maximises the open area available to bring in
cables, especially in the two areas most used for cable entry at the
rear of the rack and at the sides (top or bottom). The IMnet frame
also ensures the cables flow over a smooth surface which cannot
damage the data cables.
In applications of extremely high cable density, the racks can be
bayed together with a 100mm cabling gap - an enclosed cabling
area, providing additional cabling, and cable access space while still
protecting and hiding them from view.

CONFIGURE YOUR OWN CABINET- IMnet OPEN FRAME
If you want to utilise the full capabilities and flexibility of the
IMnet cabinet system, you can fully specify your cabinet starting
from the IMnet ‘Open Frame’ onwards.
This enables use of non 19” shelves thereby utilising the full
width of the enclosure. Alternatively you can specify ETSI standard
Panel mounts or even a mixture of 19” Panel mounts, ETSI Panel
mounts and a full width section in the same enclosure. The possible
combinations are nearly unlimited and therefore the possible
applications are also nearly unlimited.
When specifying your IMnet please consider the position (height,
depth etc.) where you require your accessories to be mounted. The
cabinet can then be delivered to your site ready for use without any
further adjustments being required.

DOOR LOCKING OPTIONS
All IMnet doors are supplied complete with a door handle and
a standard lock. For applications that require a higher level of
security, Profile Cylinder locks are available. The ‘Profile Cylinder’
locks are supplied individually, complete with two keys.

All locks supplied operate with the same key. To lock the door the
key must be turned.

ADJUSTABLE FEET
These allow you to align your cabinet on uneven surfaces.
Adjustable feet are screwed directly into the ‘end frame’, using
12mm threads.
Adjustment is between 0mm and 20mm.
Note, adjustable feet are also required when the cabinet is to be bolted down

CASTOR-LEVELLER COMBINATION
For applications where a castor is required the ‘Castor leveller
combination’ is available.
This unique combination product is a castor system with an
adjustable foot built into it. This allows you to easily move the
cabinet within your premises with the added safety feature of being
braked. Once the cabinet is correctly positioned, the unit can be
aligned on an uneven surface using the adjustable feet. The foot
can be used to bolt the cabinet down.
Castor load rating 65Kg for each castor.- Adjustable foot rating

BOLTING DOWN CLAMPS
This is a kit of 4 clamps which fit over either the ‘Adjustable feet’
or the ‘Adjustable foot’ section of the castor- leveller combination.

BAYING CONFIGURATION
BAYING KIT
The baying kit is designed for joining two enclosures of the same
depth together, side by side, independent of whether they are an
IMserv or IMnet. The baying kit fits to the front of the vertical
therefore racks can be bayed, or unbayed easily even when fully
loaded with equipment.
Four pairs of brackets are required for baying, two at the front and
two at the rear.

To allow for high density of cables, the IMnet and IMserv cabinet
ranges both offer an unrivalled spacing system.
A 100mm wide space can be created between bayed racks. Locked
front and rear covers enclose this cabling void. This has two
advantages, firstly a large unrestricted area for cables and secondly
it leaves the cabinet uncluttered for housing active equipment.
The spacing system can be used to link together cabinets of the
same height and depth, independent of their width or if they are
IMserv or IMnet.
