GENERAL DESCRIPTION
For safe and reliable wiring SCAME offers a range of
wire connectors, insulated wire connector strips,
multi-way wire connectors and terminal strips capable
of meeting the needs of present-day wiring systems in
the home, office, shop or factory.
INSULATED WIRE CONNECTORS T85
The main characteristics are:
- rated voltage: 450 V~
- capacity: 1.5, 2.5, 4, 6, 10, 16, 35 (mm2)
- rated current: 17.5, 24, 41, 57, 76, 125 (A)
- connectable cross-sections of rigid and flexible
cables: between 0.75 and 50 mm2 (refer to tables on
following pages)
- maximum continuous service temperature: 85 °C
- protection degree of the terminals: IP20 (with wires
connected)
SCAME’s insulated wire connectors have clear or
coloured insulating casing. The clear casings provide
the advantage of allowing visual control of the
connections, while the coloured ones make for easy
identification of the circuits. With the practical strip
version, the wiring is also very neat.

SCAME produces three versions of 12 pole terminal
strips with different technical characteristics:
- Terminal strips T140/T160
- Terminal strips T85
TERMINAL STRIPS T140/T160
The main characteristics of the terminals are:
- rated voltages: 250, 450, 750 V~ (according to size)
- capacity: 2.5, 4, 10, 16, 25, 35 mm2
- rated current: 24, 32, 57, 76, 101, 125 A
- connectable cross-sections of rigid and flexible
cables: between 0.75 and 35 mm 2 (refer to the
“connecting capacity” tables on the following pages)
- maximum continuous service temperature:
140 °C/160 °C
- protection degree of the terminals: IP 20 (with wires
connected)
TERMINAL STRIPS T85
The main characteristics of the terminals are:
- rated voltage: 450 V~
- capacity: 2.5, 4, 10, 16 mm2
- rated current: 24, 32, 57, 76 A
- connectable cross-sections of rigid and flexible
cables: between 0.75 and 16 mm 2 (refer to the
“connecting capacity” tables on the following pages)
- maximum continuous service temperature: 85 °C
- protection degree of the terminals: IP 20 (with wires
connected)

The T140 and T85 terminal strips are all IMQ (Italy) and
VDE (Germany) approved, they comply to the
International Standards IEC 998-1 and IEC 998-2-1.

PRACTICAL ADVICE
❖ The cable ends entering the terminals of the
appliances should be carefully prepared to make sure
that necessary isolating distance between them is
maintained.
MULTI-WAY WIRE CONNECTORS
❖ Tighten the screws of the terminals carefully to avoid
overheating, which might cause fire hazards or
damage to the cables.
Various versions are available, for equi-potential
points, for earthing, in-out connections - easy and
quick cabling for modern installations.
❖ Always make sure that the ambient temperature
never exceeds the one indicated on the product.
