All abstracts should be formatted using either the template provided in the web page or
according to the following guidelines and must be submitted via e-mail to the Conference
Secretariat, Margarita Lavado: margarita.lavado@juntadeandalucia.es
The abstract should be written in English or Spanish and must not exceed 21( page. Times
Roman font in 11-12pt size and single line spacing should be used throughout the document.
Print fonts smaller than 11 point will generate small characters that will be difficult to read.
The accepted page setup for A4 paper is 2.54 cm for all margins – top, bottom, left and right
side margins. The format should be PDF, any open format or text document.
The document should include the following items only in this order: Abstract Title, Authors,
Affiliations, Abstract main text, Keywords and References, if any. The abstract title should
be in capital letters, 14pt size, bold and should be centered. The abstract title should be as
concise as possible. Add a blank line before the author list. Authors' names should be listed
with initials of first names only followed by the last names in full. Authors should be
separated by commas. Center the author list and underline the name of presenting author.
Affiliations should follow on the next line without a blank line. For each affiliation, the
maximum level of detail should be the name of the organization, institute or department and
country. Full street addresses should not be included. Authors and affiliations should be
italicised. Superscript numbers should be used as a key to affiliate names to organizations.
Numbers should appear after the authors' names and then before each affiliation. Center the
affiliations. Indicate up to 6 authors only; if more than 6 use 'et al'. The presenting author's
email address may be included on the next line and should be italicised and underlined. The
inclusion of an email address is optional. Abstracts will be included on the web site and in the
abstract book as submitted. Therefore if you do not wish your email address to be distributed
please do not include it in your abstract.
Leave a blank line before the main abstract text. Do QRW type "abstract" at the start of the
main text. Leave a single blank line between paragraphs. Justify paragraphs and do not indent
the first line.
Abbreviations should be spelled out and identified the first time they are used. Inclusion of
embedded tables and figures is accepted. Figures should be of good quality and high
resolution and must have lettering sufficiently large to be readable. SI units should be used.
Include four keywords separated by commas.
References should be enclosed in parentheses containing the author's name and/or year the
reference was published. Use “et al.” in the text for references with more than two authors.
References are in alphabetical order, beginning with the author(s) name, article title, journal
name, volume, page number, and year of publication.
