DOCUMENT TYPE | Title Here ADF Project Setup in JDEV11.1.1.5 OpenText Composer CipherSoft Overview Oracle Forms applications converted with OpenText Composer CipherSoft are Java applications that can be maintained and extended in most Java IDEs. This paper describes how to set up an Oracle ADF application generated by OpenText Composer CipherSoft in JDeveloper. We use a sample application, called the Summit Application, to describe this process. WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 Getting Started After successful installation of JDeveloper check the JDeveloper version from the menu: Help About Next, the WAR file for the Summit application has been deployed under the Tomcat application server. This could be done simply by dropping the WAR file into “../Tomcat6/webapps” folder. If the application server is running, the WAR file will be extracted automatically into proper structure, if the server is not running we can start it through the startup.bat file: “../Tomcat6/bin/startup.bat”. We can keep the default JDeveloper location for the application and project files: Next, add the following technologies to the project as it is demonstrated in the screen capture below: OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 4 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 ADF Faces, ADF Page Flow, HTML and XML In step “3 of 5”, we will point to the “../Tomcat/webapps/summit/..” directory: OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 5 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 The Application and Project will be created after pressing the Finish button. Configuring the Project Source Path Select the Project Properties option of the Summit project context menu to set the Java Source Paths and Output Directory. OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 6 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 Setting up the Libraries Through the “Libraries and Classpath” panel, we will add the Trinidad Runtime, Oracle JDBC and J2EE 1.4 libraries: OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 7 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 Now we have to add two more JAR files provided by the OpenText Composer CipherSoft framework. These files are included in the Summit WAR file mentioned above. Click on the “Add JAR/Directory…” button and select these files from “../summit/WEB-INF/lib” directory as follows: OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 8 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 After the Jar files have been added, the order for these libraries need to be set with the “Move Up” and “Move Down” buttons as it is shown in the captures below: OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 9 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 Setting up the JSP Visual Editor Now, configure the JSP Tag Libraries and add the CipherSoft ADF Face Core library to the Distributed libraries list: OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 10 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 11 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 The next step is to add the Trinidad components and set the JSP Tag execution for “Ciphersoft ADF Face Core” library: OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 12 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 Next, configure JSP Visual Editor Filters, Servlets and Listeners: OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 13 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 After setting up the project, the JSF pages can be displayed in the Design view: OPENTEXT COMPOSER CIPHERSOFT 14 WHITEPAPER | ADF Project Setup in JDEV 11.1.15 As a last step, we suggest to open all JSPX and JSFF files of the application and perform “Reformat” (Ctrl+Alt-L) This will reformat contents/tags of JSPX and JSFF files into more readable and editable format.
