Fund background
How to make a donation
Administered by the Recreation and Culture
Department, RecAssist raises thousands of dollars
each year to help hundreds of residents enjoy the
benefits of participating in recreation programs.
Please make donations payable to:
The funds are raised through the support of individuals, city staff, local business, service clubs,
community groups, and other funding bodies.
All donors to the fund share a belief in the value
of recreation and in the need to ensure that no
person is deprived of it. These donors are the only
source of revenue for the fund. The more they
give, the more people the fund is able to assist.
Donors will be happy to know that 100% of their
contributions, every dollar, goes towards program
registrations, with the City covering all administration costs. The Fee Assistance Program (RecAssist)
was established and approved by Vaughan Council
in January, 2009.

Testimonial
I am so grateful for the assistance with my community
centre membership that I have received from the City. I
was in a car accident, was off on disability, then lost my
job so I was struggling financially and was very stressed
out. The assistance that I received was a huge benefit
for me, in that it helped me get my life back on track.
Thank you!
-Tina
